:manny:If someone attacked me I’m attacking back with intent to hurt you, that’s a case of self defense. Figures that dude isn’t getting charged. Hope these criminals realize that now.
The dude didn’t attack him first. They were just popping shyt and ole boy had a knife and then his girl stabbed the dude in the back. He then pulls the gun so that part I can see calling it self defense but let’s be real - homie escalated it.

He probably felt threatened or something, but he could’ve walked away from it all to avoid all this.

I don't live in NYC sir. There is no ya'll here.

Hopefully they don't. Dude was unhinged and out on parole. He could have killed that man right there on the subway and no one would have done a thing. She probably saved his life.
I mean, he could have anyway, but he never pulled the strap out until she started stabbing him. Very good chance it ended with the other dude breaking up the fight. But when he realized he was stabbed, it escalated to him pulling that heat out (pause).

...or he could have beat him or strangled him to death... or he could have accidentally hit his head in a confrontation he didn’t ask for and died.

Dude in Black had a criminal history and was so fresh out he still lived in the half way house. He had be yelling at other people before he cornered this dude. All that was in the article.

Now maybe you would wait around to see if he would have killed the person you were with but she thought his life was endanger and did what she had to do. I see it as self-defense or whatever the proper term is for defending others. Hopefully the DA does too

Once you see something not normal, that is the time to react. Gotta be on your toes in NYC. Anything can happen in a New York Minute.
okay...? what are we doing tho lol

I just don't even know what some folks are trying to argue. This guy spent nearly two minutes checking every box you need in order to be perceived as a direct threat to an individual and everyone else in that section. You don't need to 'swing first' to be labeled as the primary agitator - that is straight up high school hall monitor logic.

On top of that, the other guy becomes isolated as the rest of the seats clear out too. There's no flex to be had there. Nothing cool about New Yorkers Gotta Stay Extra Ready™ or anything else. The girl wouldn't even 'jump in' if the table hadn't been set for an altercation by all of the posturing too.

I’m not saying to react like attack someone, I mean to get away from the person who’s acting up. Nobody wants to be bothered with this stuff. All the time I try to avoid someone who just acts weird on the subways. Nothing will change until they actually do something like our metal detectors or try to prevent someone from bringing weapons on a public area like the subway.
