If thats what you chose as your justice then thats on you and your God to deal with. If you decided to punch him in the face for stealing from you then youd be hard pressed to find someone saying that was an inappropriate response. I dont equate civilization to anything other than civilization. The only one youve experienced if you live in America is this civilization. Why would I care to mention one that has absolutely nothing to do with me and mine? You can try to bring black people into this all you want because you are grasping at straws and calling for help to defend yourself by pandering with that weak ass "black people" comment but this aint our civilization. Its why us black people feel that we live in a completely different country than everyone else. No one has the right to tell me how I choose to defend myself when my life is being threatened or how to defend the lives of my children then they are at the hands of an assailant.
Whatever I decide to do, the end justifies the means. You are speaking to a man who killed the man who killed his fiance. I never regret it and stand on it to this day, as I will forever. The price you pay for risking or taking the life of my loved ones, is I kill you if I can. No judge, jury or 3rd party decides for me what is sufficient. That is not their decision to make whether they lock me up or not. That so called "civility" you keep trying to hide behind failed way before I did what I did, or this father did what he did. It failed when it allowed that man to kill my family. It failed when it allowed that man to kidnap those kids when he stole that car.
America is not the only civilization on this planet. There are civilizations elsewhere and there were civilizations way before America.
You can do whatever you want, but it's not justice, it's vengeance, personal vendetta. Justice is not vengeance. When someone is accused of doing something wrong, a decent community should have a process to have a clear understanding of what happened before punishing the culprit, if this is what he deserves.
A community cannot rely on the feeling of a so-called victim, who could be lying or making a mistake, to punish bad behaviors.
What you are advocating for is just anarchy and chaos, and it will lead ultimately to more pain, injustice, and suffering.
There is a reason why humans societies at one point established rules and process. Because it was a better way to make sure that bad deeds were punished.
