get electrocuted and some flesh eating bacteria you never heard of for clout brehs :unimpressed:

:wtf:
Crazy thing is that house not even in Tampa. That was up in Palm Beach County from one of the tornadoes.

And yeah there was a bunch of people out there walking around from what i seen. I'll have to look and see if anyone else been live since then and doing that. Can't trust that floodwater especially with all the crazy stuff in there. Shoot prolly have some gators in there in some parts of the state if that happened. Can't fukk around in Florida like that.

I saw one meteorologist on the verge of tears when tracking the storm, that shyt is super irresponsible when you are in a position like that imo

I seen that, assuming we talking bout the same guy. Buddy works at the local nbc affiliate as head meteorologist. He would come by my old job on his breaks to buy snacks. Real cool dude. These meteorologist spend so many years seeing what these hurricanes can do not only in our area but all of Florida and everywhere else. They can only do so much to try and warn us and inform us about what's going on and will happen. Nobody can accurately predict how the storm will end up being. One person may have no damage and another may lose it all. We just try to be prepared as best as possible whether others are panicked or not.

I was watching CNN the other day and they said this was supposed to be a once in a 1,000 year storm
:dahell:

Not to minimize the people who were affected or nothing but they made it seem like this hurricane was about to be the real life Bugs Bunny gif
:heh:

Yeah they made this seem like the end of Florida type shyt, glad it flopped tho, I prayed it would

This is interesting. Hopefully shyt not brewing up again but crazy how that area looks to be a hot spot now for the storms and the dry air thing in the gulf.

This the guy i mentioned the other day that was upset on his live about people asking about cities in the tampa area and if they were gonna be affected. About not knowing where they were located on a map.

The fear monger aspect will cause people not to take next one as serious. People will start thinking meteorologist are full of shyt
Then it will be natural selection, if you want to be an anti science weirdo and die that's on them

I will say this. Getting prepared for a storm and being responsible and listening to your leaders and evacuating is never a bad thing. But there are groups of ppl who rely on going viral and rely on disaster porn, and none of these people have any sincere or good intentions. Everyone wants the viral clip and wants to get views. You had a VERY Viral twitter post with a graphic saying "Avoid these areas" and it was damn near every county in peninsular Florida. And the guy who reposted it was like "DON'T LISTEN TO YOUR LEADERS IN FLORIDA! HEAD NORTH AND EVACUATE THE STATE!!". And that's just irresonsible horrible fukking advice. The reports were to go inland and away from the areas near water with deadly storm surges. Shelter INLAND! But the hyperbole and disasterphiles want to be the loudest in the room. SMH. It was a bad storm. And im sure there are plenty of deaths and destroyed property. And i'm GLAD most tampa residents headed the warnings and got away from the water. I'm glad. But honestly, this should be a lesson to not just go with the hyperbole, and just go with your local weather people. What would someone on twitter or a news channel hundreds of miles outside of Floirda, know more than what you already have available on your local news channels? Some of these crazy people are in these threads EVERY hurricane season. It's not sincere, it's fake concern.

CNN and other networks love hyping these bullshyt storms up for ratings and nikkas mad cuz they getting called out on it. No reason for a meteorologist to be crying about a potential storm freaking people out when you should know better than anyone how unpredictable these storms are.

Raise alarm and tell people to evacuate, im all for. All that other shyt is goofy.

It's quite simple: "Do you live near the water? Ok, then get the hell out!! You're going to get flooded or potentially lose your life"

I don't mind Jane Castor(Mayor of Tampas) delivery. It was blunt with no hyperbole. But these other people? :dead:

Most people heed orders and evacuate anyways. The crazy "Florida Man" types that want to stay on a boat in the gulf or who don't evacuate, are in the minority. Most people seem to "Get It". But peopel outside of the state are just insecere and get off on chaos and mass panic. The LAST thing anyone should do is panic, in these situations. Logic and Science is the way to go. Which is ironic, because the same one's sounding the hyperbole alarm, are the same one's who will mock(rightfully so) the idiot MAGA Climate change deniers. All the while being on the flip side of that whacky ass coin. :dead:

You deadass had ppl like "LEAVE THE STATE NOW!!!". Who the hell is going to be stuck on I-75, I-95 and Floridas turnpike for hours to head to other hurricane prone areas, and perhaps get caught on the damn road in the middle of the storm? :dead:

That's why I avoided this thread until after the storm. Now that the storm is over, the thread ain't jumpin. SMH.

BUT THEN AGAIN, It is hurricane SEASON! So I aint taking these shudders down. NOPE! They staying up until DECEMBER 1ST!!

From what I recall they were fearing Tampa being on the dirty side of the eye which would have been worst case scenario for them, the eye made landfall further south. I'm sure it still decimated parts of Florida but not a major area like Tampa.

The closer it got to Florida in the waning hours, the weaker it got. Seeing its category decline as rapidly as it did was interesting to me. The initial reports were that it was gonna hit Tampa as a Cat 5. A cat 5 direct hit. Either way, I’m glad ppl evacuated.
