But the way people were talking was allowed to get way too crazy. you allow people to run with it and let it get wilder and wilder with the descriptions... thats exactly how you end up with the Florida Boat Man and people on tiktok riding it out cause they don't believe yall anyway and the hype of it allows people to create content and go viral.

needs to be more level headed reporting not just some meme shyt for out of state nikkas to repost and get hyphy. you had Anderson Cooper out there with a sweater vest and some hiking boots that's when I knew it was a play.

Yeah, it has nothing to do with the fact that these areas are naturally more prone to hurricanes and tornadoes. Definitely all about those space lasers and cloud seeding.

The closer it got to Florida in the waning hours, the weaker it got. Seeing its category decline as rapidly as it did was interesting to me. The initial reports were that it was gonna hit Tampa as a Cat 5. A cat 5 direct hit. Either way, I’m glad ppl evacuated.

That was never the initial report I saw. All the reporting I saw stated it would encounter wind shear the closer it got to the coast and it was always expected to make landfall as a Cat 3.

I was watching CNN the other day and they said this was supposed to be a once in a 1,000 year storm


Not to minimize the people who were affected or nothing but they made it seem like this hurricane was about to be the real life Bugs Bunny gif

Which is why you'll always have folks riding it out who actually have the resources to evacuate. It's odd some folks are calling out posters who acknowledge the FACT the storm wasn't as bad as predicted. I'd like to believe we all agree that's a great thing for those who live in the impacted areas. RIP for those who did lose their lives and their loved ones.
