For anyone who didn’t, Netflix wasn’t feeling what they were seeing for season 3 and wanted to change directions writing wise. Obviously the writing staff didn’t want to do that and they came to an impasse. It happens and it sucks. But don’t front like Disney won’t put this on their app because more than likely they will.

Oh I know breh. I’m sorry for even reading the deadline report which explains the ins and outs of network drama and how Netflix was down for season 3 until they got scripts and got into shouting matches with the Luke cage writing staff. Clearly it can’t be because of any of that.

Seriously though, is it okay to admit the MCU shows have been a failure?

Whoever's idea it was to contractually mandate 13 episodes per season for these MarvFlix shows probably did themselves financial good but shot themselves in the foot when it comes to quality. Even the VP of programming said they fukked up in that department in deals/negotiations with 3rd party partners (ie. Disney/Marvel) earlier on in the Netflix run.

All of these superhero shows, every single season is essentially not worth watching between episodes 5 and 11 and that is a huge factor in all of this. 1-4, 12 and 13 are the only episodes that matter and it's done then all a huge disservice and a part of the reason they're critically shaky and the watchability varies from year to year.

Thus making them easy to cancel the moment stuff like poor scripts or backroom turmoil comes into play.

Netflix: These scripts ain't it, y'all ain't bringing in trophies, y'all are a hassle and we don't own this... Good luck in your future business.
