I’m just annoyed that nikkas acts like AD wasn’t our best player and the DPOY.

Aside from defense, we didn't really lose anything.

We gained offensively, and we've replaced our best player with a player who is younger and greater at this stage of his career.

We can always find another big man. He may not be AD caliber, but it's not like in today's NBA; you need an all-time premiere big man just to win; all we need is a serviceable one that plays their role well enough.

Since 2014, the last 10 NBA champions outside of the Nuggets, Bucks, Lakers, and I guess you can say the Celtics, despite KP only playing in 2-3 finals games, didn't win have an all-time big and still won the chip. Having a great big man is a plus, but it's the deal breaker if other pieces on the team fit.

Luka is never in shape though

If one of the main reasons via the media for being traded is due to conditioning issues. And Luka thus far has shown he like to take things personally it's a great motivator to prove the Mavs wrong. It's one thing for fans and pundits to say it but when it's put out to the public (true or not) why the team you were happy on and respected wanted to move on from you it hits a little different.

Even tho we no longer have a formidable big in AD, this is still a very good Lakers team on paper that has gotten offensively better...we're 5th in the West and nine games above.500, I could see us getting closer to that top 3-4 spot as the season progresses.

I suspect we'll make another trade before the deadline, but even so, this team, after AD's departure, isn't really as bad as some are selling it to be as far as the rest of this season is concerned. I'm not saying we're gonna win the chip this season, but I don't see us falling down the standings either.
