September 2, 2022 is further out than I thought it would premiere. Figured we would get it in the spring of 2022
Me too, but I'm assuming the show will have a ton of post-production with VFX. Plus I believe they are filming S2 right after, so maybe they don't want to have a long break between series.
They have Wheel of Time dropping in November this year, so that fills a big fantasy slot for them.

Although I'm reading they're the two trees of Valinor, which don't exist in the second age. Meaning this could be a flashback or sth.

You're seeing things. And yeah it's Valinor, no way would there be a dragon anyway. Dragons were only on Morgoth or Sauron's side.

This will be the new GoT for tv if they do this right!
I assume it won't be as graphic, certainly won't have the incest, and I wonder about the language. Might turn some people off from it because it's way more kid friendly than GOT.
