LL Cool J promoting FUBU during a GAP commercial, might be the greatest branding coup.

Bullshyt. Black people decide what's hot and for how long it stays hot. Gucci, Versace, Dolce, Prada(etc) rehashes and remixes their designs throughout the decades whenever they feel like sifting through their archives. Black people throw money at these Euro brands for the sake of their name. We decide the shelf life of apparel.
Blacks are muses, but that may be it.

What are the demographics of who actually buys what?

So how come u never answered my question. If u say the public coulda made fubu relevant for 10 years then which urban brand lasted 10 years? I'm still waiting for u to answer. U cant because they dont exist. Urban brands dont last long...U saying Fubu coulda lasted 10...well show me which urban brand went 10 years. I'm still waiting.
I'm not talking about the longevity of urban brands, that's what YOU are talking about. Im talking about what determines the longevity of a brand period. But you aren't listening and keep staying on this same topic. I'm done going back and forth with you.

Exactly.

Claim the public coulda had FUBU going 10 years strong yet when I ask u to point out when the public ever had an "urban" clothing line go 10 years u start juelzing and cant name 1 brand. Why? Because that doesn't happen, u just made that up about FUBU going 10 years if the public wanted...yeah right. Like I said..."Urban" brands have a 2-3 year shelf life..thats the tradition. U cant compare that to what u are refering to as "in fashion" those are 2 different things.

Damn bro you're really stupid huh?
I was gonna drop it but after reading that post i had to respond.
how hard is it to realize the public determines relevancy? :gucci:
FUBU could last 1000 years if the people in society kept it popular off that time

Are you really incapable of abstracting a concept as simple as the trendyness of a clothing item? :mjlol: What's your occupation breh? I'm genuinely curious

I'm still waiting for u to name 1 "urban" brand that lasted 10 years. What u are saying isn't facts...if it was you woulda been named 1 along time ago instead of all this juelzing. I'l take u serious when u finally name 1 "urban" brand that lasted 10 years like u claimed is possible. But you cant cuz they dont exist. Now respond with more Juelzing while still not naming 1 "urban" brand that lasted 10 years.

How is the concept that the consumer determines the how long a product will be sold not a fact?
