LL Cool J promoting FUBU during a GAP commercial, might be the greatest branding coup.

this is disappointing, a 5 second google search will show plenty of 90's publications where this is what it stood for

he knows how polarizing and racist that come across in this new america though so he's playing it down...but this is sad to see. :snoop:

DONT GIVE HIM THAT COP OUT.

The public is what decides relevancy breh

You saying all the wrong things. What "urban" brand had years of relevancy? It doesnt exist. "Urban" brands usually had a 2 - 3 year shelf life. Wether Kross Kolors, Karl Kani, Fubu, Wu Wear.....urban gear traditionally doesnt have a long shelf life.

fubu should've stayed out of the mall

& should've invested in the vision of the young & popping

make it their launching pad to create what fashion & style is through our eyes

they reached for mass.appeal & money the cool was lost

same issue with sean.john & any other brand from the hood

we need a aa rooted design house we are the most influential tribe on earth it's a must someone flexes that fact

You saying all the wrong shyt in this conversation. Sean John casual is Macys shyt in 2018. Thats how Sean John has stayed afloat unlike previous "urban" clothing line. My point is that Sean John had to go casual to still be relevant in 2018. Its not about "getting fly"....Sean John is what u buy your teen when he goes to private school or for a job interview. Sean John cologne is still a hot item.

Did I ever say that Urban brands had long shelf lives? You didn't even argue my point you just wrote about the longevity of relevancy in urban apparel. And how does said urban apparel become irrelevant? By the public not fukkin with it anymore :stopitslime:
