Do you need a Black history lesson on the caricatures of minstrel shows? Jezebel is the oversexualized black woman who uses her body to get what she wants. No one accuses other female artists of c00ning even though this is the most prominent minstrel image used in music today. But somehow Lizzo as a mammy figure provokes outrage. People don't know what the fukk they're talking about.
again, one of these things is not like the other. :francis:

if you don't see the obvious difference that's on you

maybe you just lack critical thinking skills :manny:

Nah, keep your FAT ASS over there with them white folks laughing at your blubber whale antics.

We can't let these performative c00ns "step back over" at their leisure.

We need to keep them at arm's length. Not in this bytch case, though, cuz I get cannibal vibes from her voracious ass.

Hip hop switched up to heavily focus on criminal activity to pander to white teens who love that gangsta gangsta kill n*** stuff, where it has remained ever since. Don't see a huge uproar over that though.

I don't think there is anything wrong with her music. I just think she appeals to a certain demographic of woman. I don't think she makes music for white people. I just think her music is just universal and that is ok. She is a pop star.

The words cheesy and corny have lost all meaning. Now it just means being positive. If someone makes murder music they're keeping it real but you sing about staying positive and celebrating life you're corny. Sad.

Well that's not what I'm implying breh/brehette. By cheesy, I meant that it's generic and a bit corny and that's not because it's positive-sounding or pop either.
There are pop artists who make positive pop music without it sounding corny.

Something about Lizzo's music just seems too focus grouped for my taste.

Some artists get the white label until they make something that connects with a large black audience

Janet Jackson - Thats the way love goes
Denzel - Training day
Peele- Get Out

Lizzo is like if Outkast started their career with Hey Ya. She's talented with fun songs but if she wants that black crowd she has to immerse herself in that world for a while and target that sound.

Janet & Denzel are bad examples.

Black women lifted Denzel through the 90s. Black women was fucckin with Denzel since mighty Quinn.

Janet was penny from good times.

Her music is too formulaic and has no soul in it while trying to sound soulful, but I don't know why she's being singled out because she's definitely not alone. Most modern black music is white people music with a black face on it. It is some soulless, rhythmless hipsters pushing what's "hot"and which artist are "it" and that's a big reason why music is so stale today.

There is not enough raw organic talent and too many classically trained artist who follow a template to making music. You can't make soulful music doing things "by the numbers."
What do you consider soulful?

Uncertain grounds
everybody and their mom knows she's REALLY insecure about her body, and everything else probably

that's why she's quick to hop on social media and cry about any criticism directed towards her.

you think Rihanna gives a fukk?

you think Beyonce gives a fukk?

you think Taylor Swift gives a fukk?

you think Nikki Minaj gives a fukk?

NO :heh:

now what do these women all have in common??

they're not whales parading around like it's cool to be morbidly(yea I said it) obese celebrating it like it's liberating or a virtue

fat bytches love her because they get to live vicariously through her, but at their core they have just as much self-loathing she does-no matter how much they delude themselves by dressing it up as something else

being comfortable being fat is not a sign of strength, it's a sign of complacency
ask all these fat broads if they are comfortable with their weight and do they wanna lose any and they would say yes faster than the speed of light
I swear it seems to me that only in America is this body shaming/fat acceptance a thing:pachaha:

I spent some time in both Norway and Germany and I ain't see nary a fat bytch in sight :mjpls:
seriously :hubie:

does that mean fat bytches don't exist over there?

nah, but there's something culturally and maybe diet-wise that makes it much, much less prevalent :manny:

Women of non american cultures shame each other when they gain weight
