Her music is for white people.

I’ve never met a black fan of lizzo. They even tried to make that last single pop on black radio and it still made no noise. She’s the equivalent of a minstrel show mammy. Fat black women who makes pop records and c00ns it up. She also gets by with this body acceptance movement pushed by cacs that says it’s ok to be disgusting and obese. fukk her. Bruno mars is more popular in the black community than this bytch

Who cares? If BP aren't the ones supporting her then, why does it matter? Trying to just cater to the BC will have your money stagnant.
She’s helping to propagate an image of black women doesn’t threaten white women, but at the same time is damaging to black women.

That’s the only way she can make money then:manny: . But let’s not deny what her appeal is To white people.

everybody and their mom knows she's REALLY insecure about her body, and everything else probably

that's why she's quick to hop on social media and cry about any criticism directed towards her.

you think Rihanna gives a fukk?

you think Beyonce gives a fukk?

you think Taylor Swift gives a fukk?

you think Nikki Minaj gives a fukk?

NO :heh:

now what do these women all have in common??

they're not whales parading around like it's cool to be morbidly(yea I said it) obese celebrating it like it's liberating or a virtue

fat bytches love her because they get to live vicariously through her, but at their core they have just as much self-loathing she does-no matter how much they delude themselves by dressing it up as something else

being comfortable being fat is not a sign of strength, it's a sign of complacency
ask all these fat broads if they are comfortable with their weight and do they wanna lose any and they would say yes faster than the speed of light
I swear it seems to me that only in America is this body shaming/fat acceptance a thing:pachaha:

I spent some time in both Norway and Germany and I ain't see nary a fat bytch in sight :mjpls:
seriously :hubie:

does that mean fat bytches don't exist over there?

nah, but there's something culturally and maybe diet-wise that makes it much, much less prevalent :manny:

The biggest mistake Lizzo made was trying to tell her 'fans' she was going to lose weight over covid and hired a trainer. instead of being supportive of someone wanting to get healthier and take a hard journey. They threw a shyt fit and told her why is she doing that she should be proud of being fat. She stopped her diet and ratcheted up the buffoonery, taking pictures of herself with giant plates of fried chicken

Adele did the same thing over covid. Lost a ton of weight but what she didn't do was tell her fans, she went dark and got on with it, when she revealed her weight loss, the fatties had no time to try and shame her as the results speak for themselves.

These people love to keep artists like Lizzo fat as it means they never have to justify to themselves why they have no drive to better themselves.

Weird energy in this thread. Talking about minstrel shows and c00ning when most top black women artists are selling stereotypes of oversexualized black females like that's not a minstrel caricature too. Never heard anyone call Meg or Chloe a minstrel even though they are selling the literal Jezebel minstrel imagery.

Some artists get the white label until they make something that connects with a large black audience

Janet Jackson - Thats the way love goes
Denzel - Training day
Peele- Get Out

Lizzo is like if Outkast started their career with Hey Ya. She's talented with fun songs but if she wants that black crowd she has to immerse herself in that world for a while and target that sound.

Do you need a Black history lesson on the caricatures of minstrel shows? Jezebel is the oversexualized black woman who uses her body to get what she wants. No one accuses other female artists of c00ning even though this is the most prominent minstrel image used in music today. But somehow Lizzo as a mammy figure provokes outrage. People don't know what the fukk they're talking about.
