I feel people are OD'ing on their coverage of the Falcons taking Penix. It's a stupid pick on many different levels especially factoring in the Cousins contract/Penix age & injury history/etc...but you got folks out here like Rich Eisen calling it the most head scratching pick he's ever seen. I can point to plenty. Al Davis alone has 2-3 in my lifetime that made me go "wtf?"

Daniel Jones was a far more head scratching pick.

I get that he's "won" everywhere he's been, but Michigan was a best case scenario for him in college with how the team was structured and his coach is conservative as hell.
But when does this take, end? Some guys on here act like it was only at Michigan that 'structured' their team to JJ's skill set, and that's the only reason they won.

Did they structure it at Nazareth High school when he wont the state chip twice? In high school? :gucci:
Did they structure is at IMG Academy when he won the natty there? In high school? :gucci:

If people look through Harbaugh's career, this is the way he builds teams. Even when he had Andrew Luck, he wasn't throwin it all over the field.
If Michigan fans are being honest they'd admit during this title run year they wanted him off the field at times. If Caleb/Jayden/Penix/Nix played as badly as JJ did against Maryland their team loses.
No offense fam.. I know you're a Cal fan and not a Michigan fan.. but no one ever wanted JJ off the field. Maryland was gettin after his ass and he was having his own issues that day. No one wanted him off the field against Bowling Green neither when he threw three(!) picks against them.
Crossing Route McCarthy. No one does it better @Trust Me :wow:
Those crossing routes are precise and on point. You wish Justin Fields could do that if you're being honest.

Is that good enough arm strength for you?

Here's a 4 minute clip that shyts all over your 'opinions' on JJ. And its from 7 months ago. He only got better.
McCarthy never threw for 3000 yards.

Watson threw for 4000+ TWICE.

Watson has 90 career TDs passes

McCarthy has HALF THAT.

McCarthy was a system QB.

Watson was the system at Clemson.

This nikka just said Watson is his comp :laff:
I know you watch every UM game.. and deep down inside, you luh our style. So you should know this answer.

How many total second half snaps... SNAPS!!!!!!!!! did JJ even take this year?

We're not OSU. We dont leave our star players in the game to pad their stats in blowouts.
He has never proven he can be a gunslinger on any level. He has three career 300+ yard games. Two came against Purdue and Indiana and the other was a LOSS against TCU

Even @Trust Me doesn't trust the sh*t you're saying right now :russ:
He knows what he's talkin about. You're just blind as hell old man.

Yeah that was the one thing I was gonna say, everybody talks about how he doesn't have the attempts like other QBs in the draft has, but that was because y'all would be by 30 in the 2nd quarter or beginning of the 3rd and Harbaugh would sit him and take the air out the ball for the 2nd half.

Kinda hard to put up numbers when you only play a half while everyone else gets to play a full game.

He won't be up 30 in the 2nd quarter in the NFL hence the questions on how he will perform when he's asked to do a lot.

No I get that, all I'm saying is wouldn't showing more in a game that's close show more than throwing a bunch in a game that's already out of hand.

Colin said Rams were trying to move up for Bowers and Vikings really wanted Drake Maye but Pats asking price was too high.

everyone so high on the Vikings but JJ wasn't even the QB they wanted, they had to settle. Will be very interesting to how his career plays out, hes an interesting one. He has great talent around him and great coaching. If he fails, its going to be on him

One of the worst things you can say about a QB is ‘he can’t throw in the middle of the field’, yet now you’re minimizing that as ‘crossing route McCarthy ’ :patrice:
Who told you this?? :mjlol:

Throwing outside the numbers is the difference from game managers and real QBs

Try again...

My Pops Forever RIP

lmao coach mangini agrees with @tremonthustler1

not a good coach, but if he stuck to just being a GM he woulda been damn good. He knows talent.

But he knocked it outta the park with that take. Joe Douglas has more confidence in finding offensive talent later (if they even do that) to give to Hackett to make the team score more than he has in his own ability to find a day 2/3 lineman, put him in the line and keep it movin. He has no faith in his own supposed specialty.

They're redoing the 2020 draft almost to a tee.

FRANCHISE LT at pick 11

ooooh, deep WR class, I'm sure plenty will fall to us

3 4th rounders, what could go wrong?

maybe they'll even shock y'all and take a developmental QB.

Chiefs need either Kool Aid or the white boi to make up for Sneed on the back end

DeJean will probably end up moving to safety and Kool Aid will be gone.

There's a bunch of CB's still on the board so they'll get one. They're great at coaching them up so I wouldn't be surprised if they went OL in the second.

JJ had a high level oline, nfl rnd,a future NFL TE and a wr that will be drafted early tonight .

All he had to do was not crash the car.He was Goff.

He can be a solid top 15-20 NFL QB if things go right for him .
