thats how reps work in football practice thoDamn The Facility just broke it down. Shedeur may not even get a chance to really show anything in practice
They way they broke down practice, Shedeur gonna be on 3rd team and might get the chance to do 2 plays and them might be some shyt like a handoff or read play. You know the coaches aint bout to give him a chance, they were forced to draft him.
if you a third stringer you usually dont get reps with the starters.
this is why generally its tough for QBs to have a fully fair competition because its not like coaches put every qb with starters and have them run exact same plays then see who looks the best, thats not how it works.
its like that for other positions too, you gotta elevate among the rep group first and then they will think whether you get more of 2nd team reps or not
the balancing factor is that instead of going agianst the first team, if lets say you qb2 so you get maybe three first team reps and 20 second team reps and three third team reps....you also get to go against the #2 defense and #3 defense most of the time, so if youre a good qb you supposed to dominate.
so it all depends on the unofficial depth chart order and how they initially get sorted and how they look. the idea is if you good enough to beat the next guy you will do it against #2/#3 team and then go from there. its pretty uniform in football imo
