Story and characters are key for this series so I would say play Yakuza: Like a Dragon first and then play this. You can play Like a Dragon Gaiden in-between that and Infinite Wealth for extra story context. Gaiden is a much shorter game and has brawler combat like the Kiryu games (Y0-Y6)


There's a lot of callbacks to the past games in the series but overall I think for new players Yakuza: Like a Dragon is the best place to start. You can either continue with Ichiban in Infinite Wealth or go back and play Yakuza 0-6 if you want the Kiryu story

This was nuts.. but weirdly it felt more rewarding than completing God of War Ragnorok which was the last game I played.
