Dondoko Island is definitely the endgame money farm for this one. Could seem like a time sink if you're not into that kind of gameplay but the payoff is worth it. Before I went to the island I had a little over $4K cash on me which was the most I'd ever had before by quite a bit (the bulk of it from high-level sugimon battles). Played the island for a couple hours to get the 1 star and 2 star ratings and that got me $40K+ alone, on top of now having a small income stream that can scale. Gonna hold off on the main story for a bit and grind Dondoko and sub stories until I reach Infinite Wealth :blessed:

Also the deluxe edition sujimon are crazy busted and make that entire game mode braindead easy. Easy way to make cash battling the gold and platinum trainers before doing the island stuff

I worked my way to chapter 5 thinking I would give this game a 2/5; as hated the pacing and it felt like deja vue after playing.other Yakuzas and the original LAD game.

THEN got to chapter 8 and it really picked up 4/5...

However then I went to Dondoko island, I became hooked - which hasn't happened with a Sega game since Shenmue / Nights Into Dreams.

So now; knowing that I STILL have the huge main game chapters x 6+ and this island plus who knows what else...... Infinite Wealth is actually like Sega's equivalent of Nintendoa Zelda Tears of Kingdom .. in that they threw everything into it.. an easy easy classic.

Stylish as Elden Ring or as clever and deep as Zelda TOTK no....
But this from a.nostalgia perspective has its own place on the Mount Rushmore of fun gaming.. It's brilliant.

I'll probably 70 by the time I get around to this game. I started Yakuza 0 last year and told myself I wanted to play all the games in order.

Little did I realize there's like 10 of them bytches :deadrose:
True but they are about 20 Hrs each give or take with minimal side quest..but I feel they are so engrossing that u might play back to back..

I can guarantee from zer0 to kiwami 2 u will play with no break lol that's how good those are

Yep, too much to keep up with

The way they are set up tho, you don't have to do it that way

It's like 3 diff sagas

PS2 era - Yakuza 0 - 2
PS3/360 and up era - Yakuza 3 - 6
Ichiban era - Yakuza 7 - Now

Even though they are still related to each other, these are the games most directly related. To understand this one you just want to play 7, it helps if you played 6 and gaiden but the events of other games aren't that important

Naw I'm def playing them all in order. I generally hate long cut scenes in games but the story telling in Yakuza 0 legit had me like :ohhh: and by the 3rd act I was hooked.

It was one of the few times a games cut scenes gave me the "I'm watching a good movie" feeling.

Don't bother, just finish Y0 and then skip to the Ichiban stuff. Once you've done the new games go back to 1-6 if you really want to. I've played 0, 6, Ishin, Gaiden, Y7 and Judge Eyes.
