No. If anything Mali and other West Africans were giving Berbers/Moors the work throughout Medieval history.

I know I was reading about my Grandmothers tribe being part of the Military force that defended Mali from North African invaders. I assume those invaders were or included Moors.

That's one of the things about African history, Moors were black but not all black people were Moors, but Moorish history is fascinating thus people latch on to it (like they do Egypt). It's the gift and curse of Oral history that there is so much info out there that we may simply never know about.

Lucky b*stard...:ohhh::ohhh::ohhh:

What ethnicity is your grandmother? I know you said many West African ethnics migrated south from Mali.

Indeed. People need to realize that "Moor" weren't really a people but a term applied to a specific people.

Been reading up on a little oral tale known as Gassire's Lute. You right about those tales revealing a lot. I know lots of the newer historians and archeologists have been more open to using oral history too, which is very good for uncovering the mystery of West Africa. Them Griots must be looking like gold-mines now.

Plus, I been spending time trying to look up the terms Boroma (Fulani) and Burdama (Tuareg) as well. Gonna post what I've come across so far in Kid's Sahel thread.

Well, nice post and I'm glad you found what you wanted from Oral History your fam has.

Sounds fascinating, and I'm jealous.

Yeah. Someone said it in another thread but there is a reason why the academia world ignores most of African history and only focuses on Moors and Egypt. Those topics its easy for them to falsify truth and tell people they were not black, but the other areas and their history it's impossible to falsify.

The Moors are in many ways the best and worst of black history.

The best in the sense that they ruled over Europe for hundreds of years and gave them cacs civilization.

The worst in the sense that their love of white p*ssy caused the near eradication of their people. They changed the face of North Africans because of the number of white concubines they flooded the market. Now North Africans view themselves as separate from the rest of Africa because of this white ancestry.

Like I said and read the Ops. Mixing was not the significant change in NW demographic change(especially not for Algeria or Tunisia) but instead foreigners migrating to a sparsely populated area and absorbing the local African/black population.
