This exactly.

It's the desert, and if shyt is left alone for a few years it looks like an abandoned western town.

I've lived in every corner of the valley, and the only problem is druggies, which are everywhere and come in every form.

There's very few, like count on one hand, blocks in Vegas that are "dangerous". I haven't been fukked with since I was like 11 riding the city bus. You might get verbal with a druggie on the strip or downtown but they just bark.

Idk what dude saying about plantation and shyt. It's the same as any other city :stopitslime::mjlol:

They build houses and put stores around them once a certain amount of people habitat that area. Wtf are you talking about :russ:
“People need homes so they build homes. Then they need to buy shyt so they build stores”

I mean, yea no fukking shyt :heh:

they might need gas to get to and from so they built gas stations. Wild shyt

It's about the fact that it's an economy based around a single source of revenue which all happens to be clustered in the small areas of Paradise and Winchester. Entertainment in Paradise and Winchester powers that whole economy in the valley and if that slows down the entire valley slows down. So what I'm saying is that the Vegas Valley is like a mining town but instead of the mine being a mineral, it's entertainment. Everything around that mine exists BECAUSE of the mine and if the mine is not producing product then the whole town is screwed.

The job market in Las Vegas has been the hardest-hit among large US metro areas during the pandemic. The region is heavily reliant upon travel, discretionary spending, business conferences and large gatherings, but has seen those key spigots turned off.

Nevada's lack of industry diversification likely will hinder the jobs recovery much like it did after the Great Recession, he said. Following the 2008 downturn, it took nine years for the state to surpass its pre-recession jobs numbers.

Still, the meltdown was yet another reminder that Las Vegas needs to better diversify its employer base and wean itself off casinos and leisure spending, analysts said.

That whole area is one big casino plantation...why you think the school district is shyt and there's very little investment in impoverished communities? Because the area exists to facilitate American lust for debauchery...everything else that doesn't further that objective gets left by the wayside.

If you wanna talk about the economy being tied to tourism, okay then.

But to equate it to a plantation is a stretch. It's more like an amusement park if anything.

Was just there this past weekend . shyt was lit. Stayed at the Sahara at the North End of the Strip but it was cool as hell. Got my room comped with a view of the Strat tower watching cacs bungee jump off the top of it :pachaha: They had a Cookies Dispensary and a Gun Shooting range across the street from my hotel :ooh: It was actually more Winchester where I was at anyway . Felt a little like Oakland . A lot of black folks on that side of town and it was pretty chill overall. My hotel had a guy with a metal detector though but everyone there overall was more friendly than everywhere else I went that weekend.

Ride share fell off hard . Lyft/Uber and Taxi Drivers are on some :mjpls: and theyre charging double or more of what they did two years ago. Take advantage of the Monorail while you still can brehs. I may have been far from the strip but the monorail can get me to the MGM Grand in ten minutes for $5

Went to the Illenium Concert at Allegiant Stadium :whoo: The View of The Strip exiting the stadium from the North End at night was worth the price of admission :wow:

The strip is back to normal pretty much. Didn't go to Downtown this time but I agree its dusty as hell. However, if you got a few hours to kill , visit the Mob Museum.

Lil Jon 4th of July Pool Party at Wet Republic :bryan: Security at the door was worse than TSA but that shyt was crack brehs .

The Airport finally got a facelift .

MGM Grand stays with the fukkery

I'll be back the weekend of the Fury/Wilder event :lawd:

What’s the housing market like

its not cheap anymore. Single family 1700 sq ft starter homes are like 370k now. Anything 2000 sq ft and above in a good neighborhood is like 450-600k now.

After the Raiders moved here and post covid, Californians migrated here like crazy and drove the prices up.

Rule : if you can help it.
Never reside in a state or city in said state
where a city in said state's main attraction is a burlesque based realm.

Highly avoid as far as a permanent residence.
No man should wanna be a permanent resident.
where the females' special move. Revolves around setting a price list to get plowed.

Been 11 times and have a good friend that lives there. I have fun in doses but I'm always hella ready to leave after a week. I could never see myself living there though... outside of Fremont and the tourist hellscape which is the strip, it feels like one giant white trash strip mall. Plus damn near all the hoes are from out of town so I don't see how you can really get any substantial relationship crackin.

It's a strange place. For locals here I can tell you I stayed at Rayson Manor off Owens and Sandhill and I've seen it all. Mostly drug and junkie related and the vices that come with it. Nothing happened to me. I've also had a gun in my face and robbed on my bike on the corner of Sunridge Heights and Eastern in Henderson.

Gunshots everywhere off Tropicana over by the Pinball Hall of Fame. They city has the nerve to gentrify that area by UNLV. Before long they'll be luxury apartments and lofts all the way up Boulder Hwy.

And the economy hasn't evolved, at all. Other than some manufacturing being built by where the Raiders have their training facilities. But at least minimum wage went up to 8.75 last week:mjlol::mjlol:.

Fun fact: all those escort agencies and prostitution rings that are marketed along the Strip and fully backed by LVMPD, providing that they pay their tithes. They're really there only for when they make a distress call if someone gets too drunk or aggressive/dangerous with the girls.

Live in north Las Vegas from 2018 - 2019.

Was suburban bliss for me. I wouldn’t move there if I was single / trying to start a life…. But it was cool for me and the fam.

Why wouldn’t you move there if you were single or trying to start life?
