From 10 years ago.

But in the last year and a half, Microsoft has undergone a radical shift, slowly but surely transitioning into a company that doesn't care what device you use, so long as you're using a Microsoft app on it.

Like i said. They tell you exactly what’s gonna happen.

You goofies just get all your news/perspectives through the console wars filter.

Anyone who’s honestly been paying attention, none of this is surprising.

Just like sony told yall, they wanna be a multiplatform publisher.

Yall wanna pretend this shyt ain’t real till the next Naughty Dog or Insomniac game is announced day and date on PC or some other sony games end up on switch/xbox. Then yall will be back with reasons why “this is different” and me and mad titan will tell you, “we told you so” and then yall will pretend none of this happened…..again…..:smh:

The Xbox Brand right now is doing very well, it's just not doing well in the way all yall think it should be.

Routinely struggles to get over investment costs, routinely declined in hardware sales, added a 70B slab of debt, eroded two of their three premier franchises, and now is forced to go 3rd Party or sunset is doing "very well". :mjlol:

70b slab of debt ?

They bought Call of Duty, World of Warcraft, Diablo, etc which are rapidly on pace to regain that investment in very little time. An incredible investment that will be very profitable over time.

I think you are confusing Microsoft for Sony, who green lit Madame Web and Kraven..

Microsoft

Is as a whole fine but again, the Xbox part needs constant bail outs.

As it is a hefty debt, now they need Sony and Valve's storefronts and customer base to make the money back since they can't survive on conventional Xbox customers due to said Xbox mismanagement. :yeshrug:

I asked @The Mad Titan why did the Wii U fail. Your answer is incorrect. The Wii had to "compete" with the DS and became the best selling console ever. That's not why.
wii had a strong gimmick.

Grandmas bought the Wii. My mom still has a wii hooked up to her tv in the basement :mjlol:

But the waggle was only good for one generation, grandmas ain’t gone buy another wii.

Without another hit gimmick nintendo had to kill an entire market for switch to be successful.

Through a console wars lens 150 million switch sales are very impressive.

But when you consider they went from a 250 million console market to a 150 console market it starts to look a bit less impressive :patrice:

Nintendo was the first to drop out the console wars. An entire 100 million console market, just gone :wow:

The reality is, the market has shrunk and is shrinking for all 3 of the platform holders. Industry discourse is just stuck on comparing them with each other instead of themselves. The video games media industry was built on and is sustained by console warz. The rest of the world has moved on.
