You keep saying this, but it's like saying I played really well against Jordan with a broken ankle in a game of 21, and I got to start at 16... made it to 20... and still lost in the end.

You couldn't have setup a more favorable situation for the XBOX.

The Xbox Brand right now is doing very well, it's just not doing well in the way all yall think it should be.
And I've been saying consoles aren't going anywhere forever... It's just that they won't have the same draw or importance they once did. Yall been fighting me on this for years, before any of this foolish xbox gave up on consoles babble.
Xbox existed to be leveraged into living room domination rather than to beat PlayStation. As soon as they found a level of success the focus immediately shifted away from games as a focus.

When Nadella came into power it was also clear that their goal was to break away from being console dependent. They were always thinking bigger than just overtake PlayStation.

Xbox basically wanted to be everywhere. They wanted to be Netflix. A brand that isn't associated with a specific piece of hardware and exist everywhere. Them putting everything on PlayStation might be shocking to traditionalist but looking back the signs were always there. When Keystone was cancelled that was telling.

If this was the case why didn't they release games on PS back then?

Because up until Nadella got involved they weren't that forward thinking. Before part of the way into the Xbox One generation they were just a traditional console maker. From then on they started doing Game Pass and day and date on PC.

We have more info now than we did back then. From the PS2 generation to now the consoles have been stuck at 180-190 million units sold between Xbox and Sony. If it happens this generation it will be the 4th in a row. Even if you claw back half Sony's users you're still stuck in that range. They don't want to be limited. Nadella is greedy as hell.
