Wherever nikkas need to be told on
Kobe was a kid who joined one of the best players by randomness. You can hardly say that this is the same as Durant and Lebron joining with best in their peak years.
Stop that, this man was wanting to be traded to Chicago after Shaq was shipped out because it got too hard.

i don't get why kobe stans are so insecure. sure shaq was the main reason for the first 3 titles, but that doesn't diminish the fact they wouldn't have won without kobe.

dude is one of the goats, hof lock, got 5 rings, admiration of the goat mj and many other accolades. yet kobe stans stay whining about him not getting enough credit. personally i think it's cause people aren't as rabid about their worship of kobe. cats claim to be laker stans, but really just kobe stans. that first page with the shaq realities really got the usual suspects furious. :wow:

how dare they bring up shaq.

Bullshyt. Y'all revisionist as fukk liars.

Portland 2000 WCF

Shaq: 26 - 12 - 4 and 2 blocks/game on 54% shooting
Kobe: 20 - 5 - 6 and 1.5 steals/game on 44% shooting

Sacramento 2002 WCF

Shaq: 30 - 14 - 2 and 2 blocks/game on 53% shooting
Kobe: 27 - 6 - 4 and 1 steal/game on 42% shooting

So Shaq was stinking it up in those series? Really? Those were the two closest series the threepeat Lakers played in the West and Shaq DOMINATED while Kobe trailed behind as a shooting in the fukking low 40s.

Deranged Kobestans try to put up the 2001 Spurs as a "real test" but that's a bunch of bullshyt. Duncan had an absolute shyt team that year - DRob was over the hill at 35yo and was only useful as a body to keep Shaq off the basket, TP/Ginobli/Bowen weren't even on the team yet. and Pop was forced to put up Antonio Daniels as the team's #2 scorer. The other starters were 38yo Terry Porter (6ppg on 35% shooting in the series) and 35yo Danny Ferry (4ppg on 33% shooting in the series). Duncan balled out but the rest of the team was worthless and they lost in four straight blowouts.

Win in a sweep by a combined 90 points, one of the easiest series of the threepeat, to a team that had only two playoff series wins total from 2000-2002, and call that the "true test" solely because Kobe put up big scoring numbers against awful defenders.

Shaq was far better than Kobe in EVERY Finals and EVERY close series of the threepeat. Y'all have to straight lie to claim any different.

More bullshyt lies. Pau was repeat All-NBA, a top-3 two-way big, and was least as dominant in 2009 and 2010 as Kobe was in 2000. In the 2009 Finals Pau outplayed the best player on the other team (Dwight Howard) on both ends of the floor. In the 2010 Finals Pau outplayed the best player on the other team (Kevin Garnett) on both ends of the floor.

While in the 2000 Finals, Kobe got absolutely embarrassed by Reggie MIller and Jalen Rose both, and the Lakers STILL won because Shaq was so dominant. Hell, they won Game 2 with Kobe doing damn near nothing (shooting 1-3), won games 1 and 6 with him playing mediocre at best (shooting 6-13 and 10-28), and won game 4 despite him getting lit up by Reggie (35 points on 19 shots compared to 28 points on 27 shots).

If Pau had gotten outplayed by Dwight or Garnett as badly as Kobe got outplayed by Reggie, Lakers would have lost in 2009 and 2010 both.

Kobe needed Pau in 2009 and 2010 more than Shaq needed Kobe in 2000, and you gotta be blinded by standom to believe otherwise. Without a dominant All-NBA big to neutralize the other team's big, Kobe would have gone down to those teams just like LeBron did and for the same reason.
Let's be real, you didnt watch ANY of those series. Theres a reason they are referred to as "shaq and kobe"., they were a duo no matter how much your dumb azz try to spin it. Now you spend your days trying to diminish Kobe's rings cause you realize bron ain't catching him. Cant rewrite history, get over it. You're really just mad bron has tried to game the system and stack the deck on 3-4 different occasions and still stuck on 3 rings. We see right through it. 5>>3. That's why their peers have more respect for Kobe. :unimpressed:

stop the bullsh*t lying ass nikka

has Pau ever made an all-def team? Nikka was an all star reserve

:mjlol:

he was a top 30 player, sure. Was never close to being a top 10 player

back to Shaq, the same Shaq who didn't defend any elite post players even when our PF's were getting killed??? Never defended Webber, Sheed, and the one time he defended Timmy in 03, he got fkn KILLED.

So let's go to the Portland series in 2000...Shaq had a combined 35 pts in games 6 & 7

:mjlol:

I actually lived through it. Kobe snapped on Pippen to close out that series. Ended G7 with 25-11-7 with 4 blks

the signature play of Shaq's career is Kobe crossing Pippen, driving through lane & getting fed an easy basket by a 21 yr old who ascended into a superstar

Meanwhile, Shaq always underperformed against SA

nikka stayed in foul trouble against Sac, missing free throw

couldn't even run the offense through Shaq in fourth quarters

Shaq was a dominant post presence, great player but he wasn't getting us over the hump in the tough series

it's not a coincidence when Kobe had off games, we'd lose. Maybe that's why Jalen Rose intentionally injured Kobe in the finals bc that was their only chance to win. Kobe misses g3, we get aired out.

Shaq played on 3 diff teams yet has 1 less ring than Kob, that's not coincidence

I will sum it up for you, Kobe was a better defender, was the lead facilitator for the offense, the closer, ended up with more rings, and was more reliable throughout the 3peat.
lol no point in responding to @Rhakim hes delusional and doesnt know what hes talking about

Damn yall need to chill on the first page :scust:I know some of the bottom tier Kobe stans do that shyt too but still :scust:

Kobe just saying he wouldn't just take an easy ring as a role player probably
Agreed.

Whether he got his rings "the hard way" is up for debate but he definitely didn't leave to go to an already established championship team and piggyback off their success where the situation was pretty much guaranteed ala bytch-boy residing in BK.

"Anything easy to get isn't worth having"

So I feel him on that.
