Right. Shaq wasn’t a champ when Kobe joined him. He also came up short in the late 90s before Kobe came of age. Seems like Shaq was on the cusp of putting it all together and Kobe emerging and Phil arriving helped take him over the top.
Steph and wade already won title before KD and Bron joined. Either way they all had legend teammates they just got them a different way and at diff times in their careers. I always wonder how crazy it’d be if Kobe and Shaq were both in their primes when they linked up

I think I would be most interested in the Mavs, especially if Dirk and Cuban still come on board later.
I would have tanked for Duncan the next year though in hindsight.
The Spurs would have ended up in St. Louis like the rumors were at the time.
