The Confederates should have been wiped out after they lost the war
Right,
Even Germany had the decency to wipe out Nazi Germany and Hitler statues
The Confederates should have been wiped out after they lost the war
Good.
Cremate the remains and get rid of them.
Confederates were traitors to the United States of America.
Also, they lost.
Please show exactly where I said it was.
Billy Ocean said:You explicitly said it started as a joke. It NEVER was a joke.
Actually, for two years, it most definitely was. They were a laughingstock no one took seriously......not even themselves. Look at the titles they gave themselves if you doubt.
That's what I meant.
All the other stuff (murder, terrorism) they did didn't start until after Forrest took charge.
Hopefully, this clears-up this misunderstanding.
Billy Ocean said:Regardless of what people thought about them, they were actively trying to incite fear in Black people, harassing them and killing them.

That didn't happen until Forrest was in-charge and they had more than 6 people.
why you keep posting this bullshyt?
Google 'Pulaski, Tennessee December 24,1865'
History channel had a whole doc about it, but, the 'Klan' was originally a group of Confederate vets that got drunk on weekends, put the hoods on and rode around acting like 'ghosts' to scare Black people during Reconstruction.
Forrest, and the Democrats, changed ALL of that in 1869 by co-opting the group and directing them to target the original Republicans.....Black people.....to put Democrats back in power....
TEH said:The group went nearly defunct after that time ... until the movie The Birth of a Nation and scumbag President worse than Trump President Woodrow Wilson resurrected them.
