when you don't rebound, don't pass, don't play defense, and don't show up in 4th quarters.

story of his career.

We've been preaching this from the mountain tops for the past 3 years yet no one would listen. Do you remember all the idiots in the Harden trade thread that MArtin as a more "efficient" scorer than HArden? :laff:

PLz, in that trade thread, all of us rockets fans were tryinoto tell you and other how bad the trade was becasue Martin wasnt going to be able to replace what Harden did ,and yall kept lookin at caeer stats and his production from two to three years ago.

We told yall how this story would end and it went perfectly as scripted.

This type of performance is what KMart did in Houston and what earned him the knickname "Fool's gold" on clutchboards

He'll ahve 5 below ordinary games and then one great game. He was the shyt when Aaron Brooks and Scola was there and he was the thrid option but once we traded Brooks, and Lowry went down forcing him to be the man he was badly exposed.

Again outside of that 99 run, him and H2O have about the same stats and contribute nothing other than when their shot is on. Houston just has a prettier jumpshot. Martin drives to the basket better also.

What is it with you guys always giving props to older players and love to blast the current ones? They are about the same level IMO

:bryan: @ casually tossing the factor that separates them in the bushes.

houston led a team of bums to the playoffs consistently. martin is a bum.

Nobody said Martin was gonna replace Harden's impact (scoring, getting to the rim, playmaking etc etc), it was all based around him giving scoring off the bench to equal or near value to what Harden produced.

Per 36 minutes scoring:

11/12 Harden = 19.3 points

12/13 Martin = 18.2 points

Taking into account usage rates, ball-handling roles, he provided the same amount of scoring Harden did.

We told yall how this story would end and it went perfectly as scripted.

No you didn't tell us how it would end, because you never said Westbrook would get injured and Martin would be forced to pick up the offensive weight that he left behind. As soon as Westbrook went down, EVERYBODY knew the Thunder wouldn't get past Memphis.

This type of performance is what KMart did in Houston and what earned him the knickname "Fool's gold" on clutchboards

HE WAS NEVER SUPPOSE TO BE THE MAN FOR OKC - just provide tertiary scoring after Westbrook/Durant. You're just contradicting yourself now. First you said you knew how this story was gonna end, in the next breath you say he was only valuable when he was the third option; knowing all too well that he was a third option prior to Westbrook getting injured.

Latrell Sprewell was a bum now? Him and sprewell were basically 1A and 1B. The east was not weak as shyt during that time either? Ewing, LJ, and Camby had nothing to do with them going to the playoffs?

You guys love to overrate the past like crazy. Nobody in this thread has put up a legit argument for Houston over Martin outside of his shooting form. They are basically the same player in terms of impact...provide scoring and not much else. But apparently I have it all wrong and Allan Houston should get HOF votes and his number retired by the knicks

BTW who put Martin on Harden's level?
