Some people just want a reason to be miserable and moan about something. Go outside, enjoy the fresh air and chill the fukk out every now and then.

The headline could be Kevin Durant had asparagus and grilled chicken for lunch and some people will be like "How dare he, there are people dying of hunger and starvation all over the world"

Kevin Durant has made 133 million from the nba. He got a Nike brand. Also reuppes with Nike for 300 million. His next max contract is 200 million. That's 633 million. Before 40. Before he dies he would have earned a billly
So what? It's all about maximizing your dollars. He's not always going to be able to make this kind of money in his life, unless he turns into some investor savant.

Only reason I don't got an issue with this is simply because I know Kawhi gonna end up taking a discount even though he's due for $42mil/year in 2019 :steviej:

"The 10-year deal with Nike has the potential to reach $300 million and includes a $50 million retirement package, two people familiar with the terms of the deal told USA TODAY Sports."

Yeah, taking 5 million less is really gonna hurt KD's pockets with his guaranteed Nike deal he got a couple of years ago. :mjlol:

I mean..yall get mad but If he wants to take less than the max on his own accord to keep a winning team around what can you do?
It makes sense if you want to win. I remember there was a ln article saying that the $20 million dollar QBs in the NFL dont win super bowls they accou r for so much of the cap space that it cripples the team when it comes to signing good talent. They just dont have the dough. people calling him dumb for not taking the max but hes trying to maximize his chances at winning.

They are trying to have a dynasty. To keep the team together multiple years the top stars will have to sacrifice $5M or so annually. If they don't and the core 4 all get the max, then not only will they naturally lose depth, but more importantly it will put enourmous pressure on ownership and management to trade one of the core guys in a few years because their luxury tax will be ridiculous.

These guys are trying to win 3+ rings beyond this year...

Obviously. He aint go there and catch all that hate for 1 ring then fukk up their cap and break up the core. Winning changed the hate narrative for the miami big 3 when they did it and won. Him and curry will take less so they can keep the bench which is vital to their run and to show klay they willing to sacrifice so he can get his
