If this was 2020. this the type of stench that will only going away with him releasing a Illmatic tier ass album. which he won't. so :manny:
I think you brehs put too much stock into how much rap beefs affect a rappers commercial success. Again this is the side effect of being a hardcore fan of the genre or being chronically online. You see things through a lens that regular people/casuals simply don’t.

No rappers career has ever truly died from losing a beef and the outcome of a beef almost never changes the status quo. Jay Z was always bigger than Nas…he lost to Nas in their beef, and the only real outcome of that was Jay actually further widening the gap in commercial success as their careers went on. Pusha T ethered Drake and it did fukk all to elevate his status.

“The culture” doesn’t matter irl. You guys preach about Drake being “banished from the culture” and this and that but the metrics don’t support that. Dude is as massive as he’s always been and he got a tour rn doing Super Bowl numbers. I can assure you, if he performed at the SB, it would be a movie.

I don’t have a dog in this fight at all and will happily concede Kendrick won the beef, but if Drake wants to find a trump card an SB performance would be the ultimate power move. Deep down, I think we pretty much all know he’d have that place 1000x more jumping.
