Youre trying to compare an unproved player on their rookie contract to someone thats been in the league a decade.
Again, I am comparing team managements on how they handle their valuable assets

Also you can't just call a 2012 Harden unproven player when he was one of the crucial reasons why OKC came back from a 0-2 deficit and beat San Antonio 4-2. In the conference finals. That was the proof right there to keep that guy on your team lol.

You mean to tell me a guy doing all of this in a crucial game 5 of conference finals is considered unproven yet and a guy you should get rid of instead of paying him?

Who cares how many years KAT is in the league right now. In Denver series he played crucial role in game 2 routing the Nuggets when their so called defensive anchor Gobert wasn't there and then KAT played another big time role in the decisive game 7.

And these guys traded him for Randle, the guy with the worst playoff resume of any all star ever, and Donte.

This is Randle's field goal percentage of the three playoff series he's had in his career:

29% against Trae Young Hawks
33% against Cleveland Cavaliers
41% against Miami Heat

The guy who's either injured or keeps shooting brick after brick.

If you're trading a talented player, and you trying to win in playoffs, you don't trade him for one of the worst playoff performers ever.

Harden in OKC came a fundamental view of how they saw him fitting in and they viewed him as their Ginobili. Those guys don't get max deals even if they're the best 6th man around. The talent evaluation was wrong as we know, but not the salary structure.

Ironically, you're worrying about the wrong player getting dealt for Towns. In the grand scheme of things, this is a 1 year pit stop until their 6th man of the year gets starter money.

Being optimistic about this trade doesn't mean he's immune to slander. If he doesn't perform when the lights are the brightest he should be criticized just like any other player relative to his standing in the league.

And this is more about the fact that a team has managed to construct a roster that's about as good as you're possibly going to get without a true megastar. You'd be hard pressed to recall a team in the last 20 years that's as good as this without a top-10 player. That alone is something to be optimistic about. I don't see how anyone could be anything to the contrary given that. As it's been reiterated throughout this thread, he's going to have less [offensive] responsibility than he ever has, and that should benefit someone like him who's clearly struggled mentally when he's been forced into a greater role than he's been able to handle.

Last but not least, it's getting rid of Randle and replacing him with an actual star. That's what this is generally about. KAT looks like Tim Duncan if you compare him to that bum.

Brunson might be a top 10 player

This is what they're going to need in the playoffs on the nights that Jalen doesn't have it going. If one can pick up the other during off-nights, and vice versa, they can make a good run. They're probably going to need one postseason run as a group, and then run it back for keeps next season.

Well so much for the Villanova 4

I know right

I woulda kept Donte and gave them Robinson

I woulda kept Donte too, liked his energy

If I was the Knicks I would run at least one year with the full Nova crew. Kind of surprised they already broke them apart.

I'm surprised too, I thought the Knicks would run it back with the same squad fully healthy this season

:snoop: I would’ve kept Donte

Donte has not been playing well and they were gonna have to run Jericho Sims at center until January. No telling when Precious will be byke. Thibs wasn't running Randle at Center
