This trade is OKC 2012 letting James Harden go all over again. Cheap ownership saving money.

Like when James Harden did well in the western conference playoffs, but looked bad in the finals and somehow those Thunder idiots decided to let him go and keep bums like Kendrick Perkins, who absorbed two nasty poster dunks same year, he should've been kicked off the team because of that.

This is glen taylor move no doubt, he's ruined Timberwolves for decades now. They are a loser franchise and it takes more years for them to figure things out. Wemby has Duncan, Robinson, Manu, Popovich to talk to. I'm sure Tony gave him some good advice in France. Who did KAT and Edwards have to talk to in Minnesota? Nobody. They all figuring out and they already beat the defending champs this year...why not run it back with the same squad?

Randle has one year left and a player option for 25-26, most likely he's turning down the player option and signing lucrative contract some place. So a still young team is getting one year rental of Randle and whatever years DiVincenzo has left on his contract. Like Donte is good, but I need to remind folks that Bucks won their championship without his services, when he was injured. He's not a must have player that you would trade your star player for.

Timberwolves have just gone one tier below the SGA's Thunder, Denver Nuggets and Dallas Mavericks.
:dahell: James Harden is 100x the player KAT is :dahell: do we watch the same basketball :dahell: KAT is in his 9th season and has 0% chance to go into the hall of fame. James Hardens 9th season he was already the NBA leading scorer, MVP and 100% chance to get into the hall of fame :dahell:

when thunder traded Harden, he was still on his rookie contract and they still had KD and Westbrook, 2 allstar level players to fall back on and made a finals. KAT is heading towards his 3rd contract and hes still only going to get you 20

It sounds like you are trying to move goalposts

I am comparing situations between OKC 2012 and Wolves 2024. Back in 2012 OKC made a leap and went to the finals. To save money they got rid of Harden who was one of their crucial parts of success. They never made the finals again. When did OKC make the finals after getting rid of James Harden?

Now in 2024, Wolves finally looked improved, beating Suns and Nuggets, and to save money they decide to get rid one of their important pieces. It could be a similar situation in Minnesota like what happened to OKC when after the trade they did not reach the same success again.

This isn't about what KAT and Harden look like in year 9. This wasn't even a comment made as a stab to James Harden. This is about how team management keeps making such moves to save money. Wolves will continue selling tickets, just like OKC did after they moved James Harden, but it may as well stunted their growth, just like what happened with OKC when even though they still had KD and Westbrook they never reached finals again.

Randle is leaving Wolves after this season. Was it worth trading KAT for Donte DiVincenzo only?

Youre trying to compare an unproved player on their rookie contract to someone thats been in the league a decade.
