I'm beginning to think that both teams lost in the NYC/Minnesota trade

Yes they mean a thing. You need to have young players on cheap contracts to hustle for some minutes on the court. You'll see that when Knicks are going to be gassed this year in playoffs once again.

Denver didn't play their young bench players enough in regular season a year ago and they lost to Timberwolves who were not considered series favorites. They looked gassed in game 6 and 7.
On paper Minny was the far suoerior team. I don't care that Den gad previously won the title, they are basically a one man team. If anyone needs to be crying about help it's Jokic.

Murray was really good in those 2023 playoffs, like legit all star numbers lol, Jokic did not carry that team by himself to the championship.

The way ya suckin off the cavs is crazy. Had to double check to see when they last won a ring lol. It definitely wasn’t a Donovan led cavs lol.

Cavs, Same roster 2yrs ago, brunson knocked them out in 5 games. They lost in semi last yr just like us but we were absolutely dismantled with injuries. They barely snuck by the magic in round 1.

Now Celtics and okc, completely different story. I don’t think we will see cavs in the playoffs this season unless we beat Celtics in round 2 (lol) but I pray we play cavs somehow, healthy Knicks in 6
we talking about this season, not last season. This year Cavs are beasting. looking very elite, The knicks are not

We tied for the 4th best record in the league, its the best record 55 games into the season we’ve ever had.

We’ve smacked around rockets, bucks, nuggets, griz, and wolves.

We have yet to play the cavs at full health and im not even talking about Mitch. Who will completely shift the series to our favor against the cavs.

Knick fans still talking about Willis Reed limping down the tunnel to hit a shot. Y’all ain’t win a championship since 1973. It’s only teams that matter OKC,Boston and Cleveland and it’s a big gap between the rest of the teams. Y’all keep talking about 2 years ago like yall don’t understand the concept of young players getting better. Evan Mobley and Darius Garland aren’t the same players they were last season. Two 6th man of the year candidates in Ty Jerome and De’andre Hunter.

Another reason Knicks are a non-factor to the Cavs. Boston sweeping the Knicks in the 2nd round. It’s pointless to even think about the Knicks.

Knicks have 3 rookies who may or may not play next year

Roster is only 15 players. Having a million picks doesn't mean anything. You have to trade some
Not to mention, whatever picks they kept from the Bridges trade would have just been used in the town’s trade so it’s a wash. Just act like it was one big trade and call it a day.

I, for one, welcome our new space overlords.
There's definitely something happening in the NBA since this $76 billion deal was signed.

We've seen two non-basketball related trades in 6 months. KAT to the knicks and Luka to LA.

It looks like owners don't wanna pay players $70m a year, and also do not wanna go over the salary caps.

Players being basically interchangeable and putting low effort isn't helping. But it might not be the last we see teams avoiding supermax contracts and trading away their key pieces to save some money.

The minute owners no longer care about winning championships but making profit, the sport will lose it's x-factor
Just my observation :hubie:

well yes, teams are gonna be more selective about supermaxes, which is what y'all wanted since y'all think only a handful of players actually justify those salaries.

and because the 2nd apron penalties are so punitive, there's more to it than just saving money.
