I guess we're 7 months away from the "If Brunson defeats the Celtics does he surpass LeBron?" Coli threads.
Sorry but this is an uninformed take. Yea they save a little bit of money but not a significant amount. It does save them from 2nd apron hell in the future where they would have to lose Naz and NAW next summer and be unable to sign any free agent for more than the minimum because of the 2nd apron restrictions. They’re still the 2nd most expensive roster in the league this year and apparently had multiple KAT offers for picks and salary cap relief. They wanted to get off KATs huge contract to allow them to continue to build a team around Ant that wasnt totally reliant on KAT while remaining competitive. This trade is OKC 2012 letting James Harden go all over again. Cheap ownership saving money.
Like when James Harden did well in the western conference playoffs, but looked bad in the finals and somehow those Thunder idiots decided to let him go and keep bums like Kendrick Perkins, who absorbed two nasty poster dunks same year, he should've been kicked off the team because of that.
This is glen taylor move no doubt, he's ruined Timberwolves for decades now. They are a loser franchise and it takes more years for them to figure things out. Wemby has Duncan, Robinson, Manu, Popovich to talk to. I'm sure Tony gave him some good advice in France. Who did KAT and Edwards have to talk to in Minnesota? Nobody. They all figuring out and they already beat the defending champs this year...why not run it back with the same squad?
Randle has one year left and a player option for 25-26, most likely he's turning down the player option and signing lucrative contract some place. So a still young team is getting one year rental of Randle and whatever years DiVincenzo has left on his contract. Like Donte is good, but I need to remind folks that Bucks won their championship without his services, when he was injured. He's not a must have player that you would trade your star player for.
Timberwolves have just gone one tier below the SGA's Thunder, Denver Nuggets and Dallas Mavericks.
Not to mention Donte isn’t the same fukking player he was on the Bucks 4 years ago as a 23 year old lmao. It’s always obvious when someone’s take is so biased by agenda. The same KAT that the entire NBA world has been telling me for a decade is the biggest p*ssy in the world, now it’s a travesty that we traded him. He was the lowest IQ player in the league but now he’s a necessity for a team that played most of their games without himSorry but this is an uninformed take. Randle and DiVincezo are both some big dikk nikkasNot to mention Donte isn’t the same fukking player he was on the Bucks 4 years ago as a 23 year old lmao. Lmao everyone can seriously fukk off. Team full of dogs now. Enjoy KAT

Lol I could simply do the opposite of what you just said:Last 3 years the whole NBA: Why would they mortgage Ant’s future for Gobert???
KAT is too soft to win with!!!
KAT takes too many 3s!!
We love Ant but KAT is unreliable!
Play Naz more!!!
Today:
Why would you make a move for Ants future when you can win now!
What are they gonna do without KAT shooting 3s???
How can they compete for a championship without KAT and with (another All Star) Randle????
They’ll have to play Naz more!
They are afraid to admit they made a mistake by overpaying for gobert when trade happened. So they decided to trade other guy. A foolish stubbornness. This trade is as piss.pppr as the bulla getting rid of a train.
Talembout oh he has soft hands.
You never trade no number one pedigree big for garbage. Just as a rule.
Plus fukk Robert.
Send that sometime'y drop strp ass nikkaz to the gulag. Only time Robert asserted himself on spirt publically. Was to not grt washed by a fifteen year old or so wemby.
Yeah cat may have been soft. Yet Kat was soft this year because Robert was supposed to be the euro tough defensive center. Instead gobert let the baddest kid in summer cap draymond choke him out at eight inches shorter than gobert.
So why would Kat be hard. When the example of team toughness if a euro letting some random like draymond choke him out.
Kat got a bad rap this season. Yeah I shyt in him for being soft. Yet...this season. How are we calling him soft and last season. Kat was not the interior toughness guy in roster as a big. Plus the socalled euro tough big.
let the hof bad kid at summer camp own him.
Like gobert should have been getting shipped out.
Kat could have faked as much grit as that chump gobert this season.
Plus why stagnate an offense. When you could put Naz Reid and Kat together.
This minnie-ap franchise is inept.
I cpuld care less who it is owned by
You never trade no number draft pedigree big. When you got a trade bait big in gobert to unload and send to the shadow realm.
Minnie-ap is inept.

If the second apron never existed KAT would be on the team it was a salary trade. The Wolves had their most successful run in 20 years.Sorry but this is an uninformed take. Yea its a 2nd apron trade but not to save the owner money as you claimed. Its a 2nd apron trade to avoid all of the restrictions that come from being in the 2nd apron in terms of building a team. If the only penalty was just paying the tax they wouldve done so for at least another year or two, but its not. Since the new CBA Wolves fans have always known that they wouldnt be able to keep KAT, Gobert and Naz after this year. And in moving Kat they now get a chance to keep Naz and other important players and possibly sign other FAs in the future. So yea, your post was uninformed because you approached it from an ‘owners being cheap’ angle instead of what it actually was which is ‘trying to build a team’ angle. If the second apron never existed KAT would be on the team it was a salary trade. The Wolves had their most successful run in 20 years.
Whole post mentioning the second apron and signing players but talking about uninformed
i think he'd rather be in Washington heights
