2024-2025 Knicks were always a next season team. They were always going to solidly the bench and needed another offseason to do so.

I do think they’ve gotten all they can out of Thibs and maybe move him to a front office role with the organization

The Knicks really underestimated the impact of Mitchell Robinson's injury

I was shocked when they traded away Jericho Sims. Yeah he's not super talented, but they could have used another big body. And Andre Drummond was available last summer and they didn't even attempt to get him on the roster
Jericho Sims and Andre Drummond are bums

Hartenstein has a high bball IQ while Sims has a 0 bball IQ

Drummond isn't a winning player

It’s coaching more than anything. Thibs defensive strategies are outdated. Can’t insist on drop coverage against a team trying to shoot 70 threes a game

They didn’t have the money for IHart. Bridges is a far better player than Divencenzo. Julius Randle is trash. “Fans” like this are just as dumb as @Gil Scott-Heroin

You can't do switches with Kat, he is too stupid on defense and will just foul, so Thibs has to protect himself or Kat will be playing 15 mins a game. He can't control himself when it comes to fouling, he is infatuated with foul and it is the most foolish fouls.

No defense can be good with Brunson as point of attack and Kat as the rim protector it ain't happening

Team was always gonna be different because they were gonna lose IHart unless he took a massive paycut to stay with the Knicks, which wasn't happening - he never got a big payday before OKC.

Towns is a good player but he just isn't a rim protector, why do you think the Wolves traded for Gobert, because they liked him? :mjlol: They needed someone to cover Towns

As is, the Knicks will be what they are - good but not elite

You being shocked says alot. They gave Sims every opportunity to contribute and he's shown he doesn't have a viable NBA skill except rebounding

Drummond is a statue at this point in his career, and would not solve any of the main problems on defense

That was the big gaffe. He hasn't been bad, but if that's the last big move in your arsenal, it has to be more impactful than that
He hasn't, just not worth trading that much for him. Idk who they were competing against and even then it wasn't going to be that much. Knicks will have to find another way to get a big, maybe Mitch Robinson can give them a good post season run and things turn around.

Sims is damn unplayable. Not an offensive threat, mid rebounder, no feel for the game. Hasn't gotten better at all through his tenure. Getting anything for him was great.

Brooklyn wasn't gonna sell him for less to go to the Knicks. The biggest issue with the trade was they gave up all that stuff for the sake of Nova vibes only to deal Ragu before they could play a game

Believe it or not, teams valued the hell outta Bridges just off the fact that he makes $20 mil a year.

KAT trade is one of the best trades in the last decade for any team in the league. No one with even a slight clue thinks otherwise.
Let's wait and see what happens when shyt turns up a couple notches in the playoffs before crowning KAT as an all-time acquisition.

KAT is a liability in A LOT of ways.
