Very strong list of policies, kamala harris is the best choice for black people in this election. I care about judicial appointments and federal judges, i want her appointing those judges to federal district and circuit courts around the country not the racist who wanted to execute innocent black kids for crimes they were not involved in at all

Probably cause she didn't even know she was going to be running until a month ago

So they completely scrapped what Biden was going to do and created new policy for her? If thats the case, lets see what old Joe cooked up. Joe might have had one last fast ball up his sleeve, like his good friend and Negro League hopeful Jive Jimmy Jones:wow:

Certainly couldnt have been more status quo than this:mjlol:

Contradictory for who? :russ: I never said anything about reparations or criticized Kamala, just stating the obvious that half the shyt talked about during a campaign will never happen. I said that was "par for course" for campaign promises, meaning it's not specific to her or anything

that being said I do think it's some value in at least TALKING like you want to do something specific for black people if only to begin to normalize it as an acceptable political strategy. In the same way it was good to at least start the convo on medicare for all and free college even those neither of those things were going to actually happen. Right now Dems feel like they can't even risk doing that when it comes to black issues

I don’t think I mentioned Kamala specifically either in the comment you just quoted. Either way, I do think you made a comment about her proposals having no chance of getting passed.

What’s contradictory is to both discredit a politician’s proposed policies because you don’t think they have a chance to pass and then also speak negatively about a politician for not talking about policies that you don’t think have a chance of getting passed.

I can get behind the idea that, to some degree, politicians have to be willing to at least have conversations about unlikely policies. But if that’s the stance, I think it’s disingenuous to criticize a politician for presenting their platform UNLESS they’ve given you a reason to believe they’re just talking out of their asses for votes…. and not just skepticism

I'd be willing to give some grace if there had been an open primary at the convention and she wasn't already the VP. We are talking about someone who ran for president in 2020, was selected as VP under a president who initially said he was going to be a 1 term president, also the oldest president in history who was visibly in decline. There is no way in the world that she should not have expected to running in the near future and at the very least had an outline ready to go. Honestly man given how cut-throat an opportunistic politics is how can anyone really think this is a viable excuse?

edit: I forgot to mention she already had pretty swift rise to the top in a short amount of time. She was a junior senator and gets VP before she even finished the term.

What differences would that have made? It was still just a month ago. And a VP is there to cast a vote. You're backing up the current President 24/7 in everything you do. So how could you be busy making your own policies? Once he stepped down it would tAke a bit of time to assemble her own team of strategists. Then figure out what parts of Bidens policies you want to continue and build on and which ones you want to go a different direction entirely. She's done all that in what a month and a half?

Not if you work in tech. She's already sponsored a bill to abolish the per country cap on work visas from India. Our tech job market is gonna look like Canada's. I'm just glad I made more than enough money to walk away from tech.

A lot of them tech jobs was just companies eating off low interest rates. Not only that, the world thought everyone was working from home. So of course they hired expecting Covid/work from home to keep going. Once we got back outside there was no use for them tech workers anymore.

The field leveled itself out imo

Fair point, but its also disingenious for Democrats/liberals to pretend Republicans are the ones standing in the way of all this comprehensive policy for black people. All while never actually putting the policy and agenda out there. Its basically them again gaining benefit while twiddling their thumbs. Allow liberal minions to imply that their is a black agenda, and republicans are standing in the way. While no such black agenda actually exist. So these coli democrats just need to stick to the facts from now on. There are no tangibles, there are no plans for a black agenda and there probably never will be. They are happy with the rising tides lifting all boats ideology, and expect it to be wildly benefecial to black people. No more carrot dangling about what the Democrats would do for black people "If only it wasnt for those damn republicans". We thank Kamala for the 4K clarity:respect:

There are lots of tech disciplines extremely understaffed. But when you ask management for increased headcount. They'll just hire workers from overseas with very little technical experience. And then expect you to train them all.

Yup,its become painfully obvious the real problem are these black liberals like Roland "Funboy" Martin. Its like slaves on a plantation who keep telling everyone "Massa wanna start paying us,but they wont let em yet:damn:". "Massa wanna let us all sleep in the house, but its not big enough yet!". All to keep the slaves content/hopeful and to prevent a rebellion. Then one day you scratch your head and realize you havent actually heard massa say any of that shyt out of his own mouth:gucci:

Massa Kamala, please report to the podium. Speak now or forever hold your piece:respect:

Say it with your chest or Dems and their minions should just keep the word black out of your mouths all together. If its a rising tides thing, just refer to us as Americans from now on. Hopefully the message will connect without your pandering.

And we already know black tech workers are about to be hit the hardest. :snoop:
Politicians will always favor corporate donors over voters. And now they even favor illegal aliens or foreign countries over US voters.

India has millions of new tech graduates in need of jobs. US Politicians will happily trade middle class jobs to India in exchange for weapon sales for the Defense Industry.

That's why there is zero pushback against outsourcing or bad trade deals from either party.

Why the US is selling India so many weapons

Not making your own policy having an agenda ready for when the time comes. Again you are speaking as if she had no aspirations to be president at all or that she hasn't has a super fast rise on the way and that's not the case.

She's also the VP and it's part of the job to be ready to fill in as a President at any given time.

I think the theory that her policy had to get OK'd and edited by the big wigs that bullied Biden out of office makes sense. It doesn't make sense that year 3 of your Vice Presidency after you just got done running a Presidential campaign you don't have an agenda ready to go in the case that Biden croaks/has health complications.

Keep in mind Biden is over 80 years old and not some young healthy 50 year old. So it was a very real scenario that he could have been unable to finish his Presidency.
