Or you learn how to do the lift properly and not hurt yourself...........

Wait, so you mean to tell me that the re-enactment of picking an object up off the floor can actually be a safe movement to replicate when done properly???!!! :ohhh:

Ya'll doing those "snatches" ya'll backs on borrowed time

You can learn to do it properly and still fukk up your back in a major way when you get tired and your form suffers while doing it :yeshrug:

Those are 2 of the most important compound movements you should add to your routine for Max growth. Those exercises are full body lifts by itself. fukk u talking about?

You probably had bad form when you first tried it and got traumatized to never do it again.

Like this idiot

I just added deadlifts to my workout and my lower back gets really sore (but only lasts about a day).
Is this common and my lower back is just a weak area or does my form need to improve?

Probably cuz you're just starting. That should go away. I know when I take breaks and start going back its sore for a day or so afterwards. Eventually I have no pain there, usually by the second go round/second week, the following day only my upper back is sore and tight. Make sure your feet are at least toes deep to half your feet under the bar. You can always deadlift off the rack rather than the floor too. It's only a few inches, but roughly the same range of motion.

Likely both

If you feel a lot of pressure on your lower back during the lift then I would try to get some help with form.
