:childplease: the fukk does the average dude need to deadlift for, to the point that they hurt themselves? :dead:

I don't think anyone in here advocating to lift so much you hurt yourself but smooth attempt at moving the goal posts. Reality is deadlift is a great compound movement that often gets abused by people with bad form and tryin to impress. No reason to go to failure or 1 rep maxes on DL but to sit here and say it doesnt have value for the average person is flat out wrong. Even at 70 years old I'd have my clients deadlifting with proper form because of how much it can help improve quality of life for people with back problems due to bad posture or line of work

I stopped deadlifts and squats at 23, hurt my back more than a few times with good form

I just stick to heavy kettlebells, 26 now

I’m over 30 @about 350

It’s important to take stock in advice
Proper spacing between arms?
Back not rounded?
Bar touching your shin?
Lifting against your shin?
Going up in weight in increments? I’m

Really pointless if you not playing any sports seriously
false.

helps build over all strength that will help you in other lifts.

the thing with deadlifts, you gotta develop the proper form and it takes time and practice. you gotta throw the ego and start light, but mufukkas at the gym cares about what other dudes think in the gym and put on the heavy weights while their form is absolute trash :mjlol:
