This defense is so weird, what the fukk are they doing... d linemen dropping in coverage and naturally they don't know coverage assignments and linebackers missing assignments on easy concepts.

At this point, u gotta think they are playing opossum .... no way, a defense is this bad after playing 17 games... ain't no fukking way.

The move to Patricia took a wonky team and broke it completely. Idk wtf they were thinking honestly. Desai was bad but since Patricia took over we are 30-32nd in every defensive metric.

His initial press conference was cringe worthy. He can't be a CEO HC. If my HC is in his young 40s I prefer him to be an offensive or defensive playcaller HC.

Just to fully understand your point. You are saying Jalen hasn't been taught or corrected on how and when to audible/call hot routes?

Even with the prodigal son, Shane, at his disposal for two seasons? Even being at two of the absolute biggest college football programs. Even while having Doug Pederson, a QB whisperer, as his first pro coach. I refuse to buy that he wasn't taught that by any of the aforementioned.

Regardless of what he was taught or not taught, how do u play a team in the Giants with the same damn defensive coordinator who blitzes at a high rate for the past two years and just two weeks prior who blitz u so much.

But still no adjustments in the gameplan to exploit it for a "get right" game that u wanted to win.

Tampa bout to beat the breaks off of us cause they blitz at a high rate too and this offensive brain trust (whether it is Sirrianni/BJ or Jalen) just refuses to adjust to it with anything.

It’s a disaster. Sounds like Patricia is switching up terminology as well which makes sense as they all look lost out there.

Gotta look ahead to next season...this def has to be a 5-2 def again as long as we have Reddikk & Nolan Smith on the roster

Jalen Carter is best used as a 3 technique DT, so I don't think we should run a 3-4

We gotta grab a DE early in the draft and in free agency tho

I doubt Patricia or Desai will be running the def next season

WE KNOW THE DEF IS TRASH AND HAS BEEN FOR 95% OF THE SEASON

If you have a subpar defense, control the clock by running the ball and throwing short, quick passes

The longer the offense holds on to the ball, the better it is for our def

But I guess that doesn't make sense to this team

What do you mean? They rolled up 460+ yards and 33 points on them. Jalen was sacked only once. Why would they feel the need to adjust?

I dunno, the first half of that first giants game was fine but the second half was shaky. Critical three and out after the Boston scott fumble kick return.

That critical three and out after halftime against the cardinals and then settling for a field goal during that critical next final drive against the Cardinals blitzing them again in the second half.

The defense is atrocious. Offense has to be superb or perfect to win... they can't have these three and outs, really can't afford it.
