Well the new trilogy was all trash. I don't think it was racism, because it seemed like they didn't know what to do with any of the characters.

They were making it up as they went along, with no plan.

Man he needs to move on it wasn't even disney that screwed him over blame Rian johnson for writing a horrible sequel in the first place and Kathleen kennedy for shoehorning rey to be the main character... Star wars is kinda dead because the new trilogy sucked donkey balls and its not his fault... We can also blame the white fanbase for freaking out about having a black jedi with a white woman as a love interest in the first place when that first trailer dropped...
he just needs to move on and focus on future projects...

It's The Last Jedi's fault.
First movie was clearly setting some stuff up for him. TLJ dropped the baton and put him in a universally hated side plot. By the time the last movie came along there wasn't much you could do.

In retrospect, the reason I hated TLJ was because deep down I knew it was evidence that the trilogy wasn't planned out and the last movie was going to have to pull shyt out of its ass. The people who loved TLJ just loved it in isolation, but I couldn't stop thinking "How can the trilogy work now?"

The Last Jedi was a fundamentally selfish movie.

They tried to make an original sequel to one of the most beloved franchises in history that was helmed by a man with a vision

And they put JJ Abrams on it, who doesn't have any of his own original content that sticks out

Then gave the second one to someone else

Marcel movies are decent, but they're following up a blueprint that was already laid

They didnt have to follow the EU exactly but could have taken more queues from it

Or just put someone better at the helm
