I don't see why such disdain for Disney when this travesty falls on the shoulders of 2 specific people, Kathleen Kennedy and Rian Johnson.
Rogue One was good
Mandalorian is good
Clone Wars season 7 is good
Marvel Star Wars comics are good
We got Black Panther, a black Captain America and the rest of the MCU

So I got beef with the SW sequel regime specifically

lol @ blaming Rian Johnson for everything when J.J. Abrams is fukking TRASHHHHH

TFA had flaws no doubt, but it at least had something decent set up for the next movies with Finn and Rey on a Jedi journey and Luke doing anything other than give up and die.
TLJ just destroyed everything by having the characters go routes they were not intended to go
Even Boyega made it clear JJ is the one he DOESN'T have an issue with

Breh even if all of that is true and happened exactly the way it's been reported, Rise of Skywalker is a fukking disaster and it was J.J. who once against went against the idea of doing ANYTHING meaningful for the Finn character and in fact opted to make him look even more ridiculous and have Mary Sue fall for a man who killed a billion people :mjlol:

Finn probably got the most onscreen time of the three in the first two movies and virtually nothing was done with it. That whole sequel trilogy was a dumpster fire. TFA was the best of the three and that's not saying much. Textbook cash grab with no real purpose of being made otherwise.

As far as people saying "he couldn't speak out sooner, he was under contract"....cool. You can't shyt on the movies as you are starring in them, I get that.

But dude was on Twitter like :blessed: celebrating with his family and friends when the first trailer aired. Which led to places like The Coli thinking he was a Jedi, or some major important character.

When, at that point, it should've been obvious to him Disney completely fukked his character over. So either he was oblivious to his character arc, somebody lied to him, or he didn't care at that point.

He was professional when he was involved in Star Wars and now that he's done with it and has no plans to ever revisit it he's speaking his honest feelings. He's not Mark Hamill. He couldn't get away with what Mark Hamill pulled.

At this point Boyega has done enough to in his own mind end his own career so he's like fukk it. Even people like Daisy Ridley suggested after these films she couldn't get good roles. Boyega has been pretty consistent in telling the Star Wars Fandom to eat a dikk after Rise of Skywalker.

Everything you said has literally nothing to do with what I said.

The whole "he was a professional" only extends to not openly bashing the franchise. It does not extend to going ape shyt like this:

Which led to things like The Coli assuming Finn was some kind of focal point of the new trilogy. His enthusiasm for the first movie is what gave people false hope for Finn, in the first place. Mind you, he knew then the character was a joke/glorified side kick at that point, because he'd filmed the first movie.

You want an example of people promoting something respectfully, that they aren't fully on board with? Go check out the final season of "GOT".

The crazy thing is the bait and switch was completely unnecessary. You could have marketed the entire film around the girl power angle with Rey and achieved the same result. Hell, Disney did exactly that with Captain Marvel a few years later.

Though, considering they marketed Capt Marvel like it was the first movie to ever star a strong white woman, maybe they didn't want Star Wars stepping blatantly in that realm. Idk.

Boyega's criticism was for where the characters ultimately ended up at the end of the trilogy. It applies to Rise of Skywalker and to some extent The Last Jedi not The Force Awakens.
