I know this not you making this argument lol. Years of posts about sales and tour metrics that certain other artists need to meet or else they're failures, now you moving goal posts to defend a collection of women rappers who don't even have fans. They have attention. They can't tour, besides the minor shyt you mentioned. They can't even fill up a House Of Blues venue or medium sized amphitheater despite having radio hits. They don't sell records/stream. Just about all of their albums flop. Their singles are propped up by obvious samples that kill their publishing. Many of them can't write a song to save their life, meaning the label is paying people to write. And they require more maintenance on the road (makeup artist, stylist, etc). As I said earlier, labels are spending pop money on artists who don't generate pop money (revenue).
:francis:

Once labels go bankrupt supporting these profitless broads, I can see a massive backlash on a business sense. On some " See!?!? I gave yall ladies a chance and you BANKRUPT my label!!"

It was never a wave it was a trend .
Find a IG model/Stripper bytch and write some thottie rhymes for her and try to get it to trend on TikTok for a minute .

No real fanbase .just admirers of whore culture for a minute until the next one pops up

You literally have women not dropping because nobody gives a fukk about their music fr and some of you trying to throw the cape on.

Nicki is the only one carrying shyt .

Glorilla maybe because Yeah Glo is legit hard.

The rest of these Hoes just walking and talking ig posts

But someone on the Coli said these chicks are doing normal venues and the tour situation is solid.
:mjlol:

They're fukked. Not just City Girls, damn near all of these chicks besides Nicki/Carti and Meg to a degree. I'm not really convinced Meg can tour on a major level but we'll see in a few months. Attention doesn't pay the bills, long term.

I agree :yeshrug: Nobody has really taken the torch and ran with it. People are still naming Cole, Kendrick, and Drake like they aren’t the old guys now. Now I took an honest listen to XXXtentacion not long after his death and I really believe he could’ve had the torch for a minute. Dude was crazy and it would be hard for me to listen to a lot of his music, but he has some gems that I find myself going back to. People named Pop Smoke and Juice Wrld… I didn’t care too much for them so I dunno. It seems like artists now just drop songs and people fukk with them or they don’t. Who are the consistent stars in hiphop now not named Cole, Kendrick, or Drake?
When people tried to say that the lack of quality control was going to kill the genre, we were called "haters". Art SHOULD have critics. And a genre where the bar of entry is so low, should have the most rigorous standards. But alas, none of that was heeded and so here we are.

I’m really interested to see how a Meg tour would do too
