Oh you see it !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!I know this not you making this argument lol. Years of posts about sales and tour metrics that certain other artists need to meet or else they're failures, now you moving goal posts to defend a collection of women rappers who don't even have fans. They have attention. They can't tour, besides the minor shyt you mentioned. They can't even fill up a House Of Blues venue or medium sized amphitheater despite having radio hits. They don't sell records/stream. Just about all of their albums flop. Their singles are propped up by obvious samples that kill their publishing. Many of them can't write a song to save their life, meaning the label is paying people to write. And they require more maintenance on the road (makeup artist, stylist, etc). As I said earlier, labels are spending pop money on artists who don't generate pop money (revenue).

The entire culture is based on mirages and people get mad when the real monsters come out to play. Saw nikkas saying Kendrick doesn't matter as he grossed $110mil on tour in 2022/2023. Even if your argument is that the old era of building fanbases is over....we're literally watching all types of artists build fanbases right now. The only difference is they convinced you black artists can't do it anymore. Olivia Rodrigo and the host of pop stars smaller than her are out here doing all the things certain people here told me aren't relevant anymore and don't work. People gotta stop letting the mirages win with no pushback or expectations because sooner or later all that shyt is gonna disappear. How many new generations can we prop up with fraud artists who can't sell out a show, have no media training, can't write a song, can't sequence an album, etc all while new nikkas say "it's a new era." At some point you need artists to take the baton from Drake/Cole/Kendrick/Nicki/Future/etc or else...
