Dumb take. There was never a point where it was more than a few females selling records. And even in the 90's, Lauryn Hill was the only one doing crazy numbers. Lil' Kim's biggest album, Hardcore, went double platinum. She had two more that went platinum. One gold. Foxy had two platinum albums and one gold. Eve's biggest album was double platinum. She had one other platinum album. Missy has five platinum album and one that went double.
