Do you know what STEM means?

SCIENCE (broad)
Technology (broad)
Engineering (SUPER broad)
MATH (very useful)

Tell me how that is "one" form of intelligence????

Hell, if we had double the number of black kids currently in math majors, we'd see an improvement in students seeking more technical and financial fields.

For example, most of you STEM nikkas lack social/emotional intelligence. It's why yall run to be employed FOR THE LONG RUNG, instead of creating for self.

Well that's the catch...

Work for a White man and live comfortably but risk unemployment at their volition or struggle until you get your business off the ground and service the Black community

What sort of backwards ass thinking is this? :what:

"working for the white man?"

So getting a job at google for 4-6 years, refining your skills, and venturing out on your own is a bad thing now?

Cause AS ANYONE IN STEM KNOWS, its work experience that matters.

You CAN NOT start these businesses without experience AT 21/22/23

DO YOU EVEN KNOW WHAT YOU ARE SAYING?????????????????????????????

It's a tough position that most aren't willingly to take the risk. It's a similar dilemma to music artist with this indie vs 360 deal.. imagine if Black people used their skill-sets to create, own, innovate and solve problems in their communities but I understand it''s a individualistic, dog eat dog world. Can't knock someone for taking a wage under another person.

You've been watching too many fukking TED talks my dude. All you've got is this industry lingo, buzzwords, and no direction.

You don't just "set up shop" in tech.

Even everyone who starts building their own apps or startups HAS EXPERIENCE IN THE FIELD.

Go to these conferences (if you ever have :usure:). Speak to these people (if you ever have ). Study these resumes (If you ever have :mjpls:)

EDUCATION matters. EXPERIENCE matters.

Napoleon, you're being dishonest. Most people don't go work for others with the hopes of creating their own businesses down the line.

And I'm sorry but sex chat apps are not what the Black community needs...

"advanced automation" is your go-to argument when you can't be bothered to flesh out a complex idea.

Do better. We see through you.

It's a reality so it's a pretty potent argument.

Napoleon, are you functionally retarded? I stated earlier that STEM gives you a skill-set to seek self-employment.

As long as Black people are creating businesses that better our community, I don't care what they are...

The rest of your post is strawman, once again.
False.

The business type matters.

We need to hold ourselves to a higher standard.

We need more people who are middle men and provide niche services.

We need more people who understand where they can get in on vertical integration.

We need FEWER entertainment and luxury orientated businesses. Too many wannabe interior designers and decorators and not enough architects and builders.

The business type matters but getting Black people to think about ownership matters even more.

The first business that folds is a lesson learned for the next one. The point is to get us in that frame of mind.

A STEM major is FAR more capable of self-employment than any humanities major.

FACT.

You keep thinking humanities folks can hold a candle to people with technical knowledge in specific fields.

Theres a reason most of the world leaders outside of the USA tend to be people with technical backgrounds. :umad:

I forgot.

A "black business" to you is a barber shop :pachaha: :beli:
A barbershop isn't a business? There aren't black barbershops that prove a middle class (sometimes higher) income to its owners? The same owners who raise middle class children who go to college? Income that goes back into the black communities these black barbershops reside?

Yeah they do.

Every engineer I know has either created their own lane, branched off, or contracts on the side.

They know they're in demand and they make it work for them

STEM majors get to it.

Why do you think all these folks in physics/chemistry/and math are the ones experimenting all the time? They have the tools and cognitive experience to do soo.

And I'm sorry but sex chat apps are not what the Black community needs...

I didn't say that.
It's a reality so it's a pretty potent argument.
Your "automation" trope is what you use to disuade black people from taking control of their own autonomy and scaring them for acquiring skills that make them not only employable, but also able to take their experiences and branch out into nascent careers specific to their unique and tailored tools.

Lot of c00ns in here... first off you do not need to be a stem major to work at a tech company...there are plenty positions outside of programmers and engineers at these companies. You guys have an inferiority complex. Half these cacs dont know sh!t at these tech companies and got jobs based on hook ups and friends.

Silicon valley is the most racist and closed off old boys network type industry ouside of construction. And the reason is most of americas wealth is concentrated in those and cacs have a vested interest in keeping blacks away from the big money. Its not an.accident. if they really wanted qualified blacks working in these companys they could find them.

No... I bring it up because skills won't cut it in isolation. A STEM major will still fail in the next few decades if they don't gear their minds for employment.

Look at who starts businesses.

The only young, self-employed humanities major I ever met was this white guy at a hotel bar who started his own lobbying firm for the government. White dude who used his contacts from his family to make connections in congress.

anecdotes... you know better :comeon:
