that is one good thing and why i support getting rid of AA, it means every black person in the system got there on their merits and without AA or quotas

maybe this chick got invited for a recruiting session or something so that she would apply, but in the end nobody gets treated special in the UC system in terms of admission

That's funny because my cousin's tuition is getting paid for by UCLA just for being a minority from a low income family coming out of a JC. They're only charging her 12k a year and covering the cost.

i have no idea, there are a million types of scholarships so maybe she got a scholarship because she's a minority, but if the scholarship was based on race then the money for the scholarship did not come from UCLA

I take it you didn't read the article. The point was these companies are not reporting their numbers. I think you need to be less pessimistic and a little more realistic how the real world works. If Black people could at the snap of the fingers fix our own problems, wouldn't you think we would have already? But you are talking about changing a systemic ever growing corporate environment that at a moments notice will buy your black ass company or crush it the minute you get off the ground. You have a complex issue generally dealing with social contrast and disambiguation and you then want a simple answer. We all know one answer clearly isn't racial individualism when Silicon Valley has made it clear that it's each group for their own. Since Blacks have no footing, the barrier of entry is extremely high. Those are legit concerns to even a stupid c00n like you much less someone who is actually in the field and trying to move up the ranks.

They are inable to see the big picture
They look at numbers and see just that

Not the sliders or variables that are effecting those numbers

They seek attention instead of going to the root of the problem

How about looking at how many blacks and latinos are actually in the industry and going off that instead of the fact that we are both under represented

We don't grow up with computers and wondering how it works
We grow up with video games and are only concerned with its output
