It was a huge story - three years before the song. It was also a huge story because Bill Cosby's son was killed. Ennis did not go on to be a household name as a result. Everybody probably remembers that Cosby's kids was murdered - like they know Jordan's dad was murdered. First names though?

How many Ennis's do you know or how many have you heard of? It's not a common name like James or John..



Then even so the line about 'switching a spare' was a dead giveaway....

Sh1t was as big a story as Trayvon Martin at the time, thats why I used the example..

I don't tend to pay much attention to celebrity murders. I think Cosby's kid getting killed is common knowledge. Just saying Ennis takes it down a notch. The details of the murder are less known than the fact that Cosby's kid was murdered.
