Ennis William Cosby (April 15, 1969 – January 16, 1997) is the deceased son of American comedian-actor Bill Cosby. Cosby, a graduate student and aspiring teacher, was fatally shot by the perpetrator of an attempted robbery in Los Angeles in 1997.

looks like it, this is off Wiki

i dont know why i thought he had a drug problem. i thought that shooting was a hit. i must have him confused with somebody else.

How the fukk would you not know this was an Ennis Cosby reference?

"Knowing I can go, just switching a spare
On the highway of life, nikka it's sharp in my sight"

Those words gave away the reference right away.

Jay z spits the most obvious shyt and stans act like it's profound.
:stopitslime:I mean I got the line back then...

but let's not act like this and other lines and other verses on multiple albums aren't str8 up.......

fukking amazing.

:ehh:and this is coming from a nas stan. .. who spent years hating on da camel

:comeon:

That Jay verse was dope but, this shyt was all over the news in Cali....Everybody n they mama was talkin about it. They even interviewed Bill Cosby right after they caught the muthafukka. So I guess if cats too young or don't know about Bill Cosby fools might have not even knew what Jay was talkin bout.

First cat I heard mention Ennis death was Khujo from the Goodie Mob on Just About Over...98'

"Its sad how you killed my son on the 405, changing his flat tire, suspect's a whit male, lead, possible robbery....."

And to the cats reading naw, I ain't comparing muthafukkin Khujo to Jay-Z in terms of lyrical superiority :heh: just speakin on the Ennis reference.
