So much domination that we still haven't gotten a single mention of a Jason Kidd All Time playoff run and we got posters resorting to hypotheticals by putting him on the Spurs to win a chip in his prime. Yea, ok.
He took those Nets teans to back to back Finals? He was the best pg in basketball during that period.

Above the fray.

Dudes dissing Kidd aren't sports fans so they move the goalposts. 3 Finals runs as the starting point guard, one ring as a complementary player + elite passing and defense for most of his career.
Again, if these were real sports fans thread wouldn't have been made.

1.)Dude had no J, couldn’t score, and was terrible at finishing at the rim. They used to call him Ason for a reason.

2.) Led mediocre to terrible offenses throughout his career. A HOF guard who dominates the hall leading the 17th ranked offense in ORTG is not a good look at all. But again when your best player has essentially no halfcourt game this is what happens.

3.)Did nothing in the west as a franchise player for 7 years aside from 2000. The only reason they made it out of round 1 was because Tim Duncan was hurt. The next round versus a real healthy team they got smacked.

4.)He gets traded to the nets in a historically poor conference and they manage to make 2 nba finals(where they get waxed by real teams) and a conference semi final in 2004. It should be noted that in that series he had one of the worst performances by a star ever including an all time game 7 where he had zero plints

5.)He continues to lead horrible offenses year in year out despite trading for prime Vince Carter and is eventually traded to the Mavs in 2008. He is a disaster on both sides of the ball in playoffs(with his HOF defense being exposed) for 3 years.

6.)Finally in 2011 he wins a title as a spot up shooter and like 4th option on a Mavs team which Dirk has an all time carry job.

So we have a guy who couldn’t shoot until later in his career where he was able to knock down wide open 3’s as the 4th option, who couldn’t score, led trash offenses year in and year out, whose reputation as a “winner” is largely backed on a 2 year run in the worst conference ever and winning as a role player under Dirk. Oh and his HOF defense got exposed several times in the playoffs by elite guards
nikkas just wake up one day and start talking dumb shyt smh

Who mans is this? :dahell:

What is the Coli's obsession with dissing J Kidd?

:gucci:

There is a massive ppg bias on the coli when it comes to modern players. (Which, of course, completely disappears when they're talking about pre-1990 legends because they only repeat what they're told to think on those guys anyway.)

Everything has likely already been said but I have two things to add:

1.) Kidd stole two All-NBA First Team selections from Kobe in 1999-00 and 2000-01.

2.) Kidd was one of those guys who did stuff "that didn't show up in the box score." Even when his numbers didn't look that good, his teams were better after he arrived. Nets went to the Finals after he got there and Phoenix got worse when he left; Mavs got over the hump during his second tenure; Carmelo's best season in NY was the year a decaying Kidd was on the roster and they missed the playoffs the next season when he retired.
The mavs “got over the hump” when he became a role player who knocked down wide open 3’s

What goal posts are being moved?

He sucked in the half court offense

He led mediocre to terrible offenses in his career

Did nothing in the playoffs outside of a 2 year run in a WOAT conference. The minute they conference slightly improved he was set to irrelevance

Appreciate you putting my post in your sig, but there's too many instances of you getting your knowledge strictly from basketball/Pro football reference with no context whatsoever. Then when you get called out on it, you redirect the conversation elsewhere.

No offense, but your style of posting may be more suited for those cacs at RealGm or Reddit, because they typically don't watch sports
