This thread got me :laff:

Instead of just saying Kidd was a good player with clear offensive limitations, we getting some All Time juelzing.

Now he wasn't drafted to score or lift the offense, just pass the ball and run the break.

Points were a bonus :troll:

He was the #2 pick you dudes ain't serious :laff:

Up until the recent 3pt shooting craze, Kidd was like top 5 all time in 3pt shots MADE

Easily one of best passers ever. I put him on par with Magic just as being an artist with the bball

Who other than Magic is even on par with this reel?

just watched this whole reel

i really forgot :wow: yao's face at #1 though :mjlol::unimpressed::pachaha:

Only because Boston eliminated the only other 50 win team in the East.

They beat Boston who had 49 wins :comeon:
Are bragging about beating a 49 win team now :mjlol:

The minute the east got slightly better(2004) the nets faded to irrelevance :heh:

Did you for one second think you were going to win an NBA title?

Breh, NOBODY thought the Nets would win a title either of those years (barely even a game) ....by the same token, nobody thought the Pacers would win their Finals, nobody thought the 76ers would win.

The Lakers and Spurs were almost unbeatable regardless of whomever they played.

That's not a knock against Kidd...in my opinion. What was he realistically going to do with Richard Jefferson and Kenyon martin?

I hear you, but Chauncey Billups, by no means a top 5 pg, won with literally 2.5 players on the entire team that can score (sheed, rip, maybe prince one game a series).

Ain't no bragging.

I'm just pointing out how dumb your argument is.

"they didn't beat a 50 win team!"

No, just a 49 win team...

It's the same shyt.

He did. But just from my own opinion, that 2004 Pistons team, was the perfect TEAM. Nobody was dropping 35 a game but they played together seamlessly.
I was rooting for them so hard against the Lakers. But that Lakers team was done. Malone was a detriment at that point , Payton was washed, Shaq was already 1 foot out the door, Kobe was still a young hot shot. The magic was gone so to speak.

You knew when Ben Wallace was flexing his arms against Shaq, it was trouble for the Lakers.

But the Nets never had that defensive dynamic of Detroit.

And this is the exact reason why he's overrated.

Folks in here can't just admit what his flaws were and how that limited him as a player. They've got to cover it up with some bullshyt. They're completely incapable of discussing his game for what it is. Now dig, do you think if his career existed today, they'd have this hard of a time talking about how flawed he was?

Of course, not.

We'd be getting spin off threads like Jason Kidd is Ricky Rubio without the Turkey treatment.
Don't bother - that poster has this wildly irrational hatred of point guards who are intelligent, unathletic, or a plus on defense. He stans the fukk out of every low-IQ ultra-athletic guard who doesn't play defense (the Westbrook or D-Rose model) and tries to devalue every other point guard in comparison, especially ones known for their defense or bball IQ (from the CP3's to the Jason Kidd's).

I'm convinced he went through high school as a short, athletic point guard who could never get playing time because he put up dumb shots and made careless turnovers, and has spent his adult life lashing out at the guys who remind him of teammates who started over him.
Claim you've had a poster on ignore for the last five years and yet still be a groupie of him, brehs. Mans just fabricated a life story about someone he can't even see posting.

Bron stans come get your mans.

:wow:
