I mean we already spoiled the twist but this movie is satire/an homage to 80s campy horror flicks. Think Nightmare on Elm Street type of flick. The marketing is a misdirection

I did indeed, was pissed afterwards as it felt like a waste of time but I hate stopping half way through movies.
