I have never known Dominicans to make oxtail. Plaintains is almost universal though. I think yall eat Latin food more often than not.
LOL
My mom made some 2 weeks ago.
It's just a pain in the ass to get good oxtail. And you gotta find a spot that isn't crazy expensive.

i don't, i know what other carribean countries eat and its not all the same as say jamaicans

filipinos are closer in terms of what they eat
Well Dominicans don't cook the same as Jamaicans, for example. But I'm confident a Jamaican can go to DR and eat just fine...and vice versa.

I could eat Jamaican food and be good.

I'm not a fan of filipino food, really.
When I lived in California, my brother's inlaws are Mexican/Filipino.
That food was NOT the business.

Rice
Beans
Oxtail
roasted pork
Plantains

We all eat that stuff too.

Educate yourselves, brehs.
Stop going to tourist traps in island countries, lol

:manny:

Looking at the Dominican ethnic food list, yall eat a lot of Hispanic things but there are definitely similarities.

For the record I don't see any mention of Oxtail. :aicmon:
