Its a fair argument and I'm not trying to get anybody to believe in black brown love at this point. I have never even for a second kissed white ass and have always maintained that my biggest political influences were the strong black women that educated me during some formative years. I just overestimated how many Latinos shared my views. I feel very stupid for ever thinking I was anything but an anomaly among us. Anti blackness is real among my people because proximity to whiteness is proximity to power. Once they in the suburbs with the white folks they, in their own mind, are now closer to Donald and Elon than they are to people in the projects. It's disgusting and I reject it, but to be real with you I'm not expecting to change them or to change how you view them, I'm just sharing my perspective.
And I don’t want you to feel attacked or anything.

All we are saying is what you have now realized about Latinos is what Black folks have been saying for years. Which is why so many voted the way they did, and why we are now in this situation.

Ppl align with whiteness because of white supremacy. White power. Until they realize white ppl are only using them for votes and hate them as much as they hate US.

Well,

Good to see you back, OP.
I agree with parts of your post. I disagree with others.

I think anyone who paints a group of people with broad strokes, especially Latinos on this website, is guilty of the same bigotry and stereotyping that Black Americans have received from others. At least to SOME degree. Candidly there is evidence for a lot of generalizations -- the problem is that nobody online has any time for nuance or to qualify any statement.

Everyone feels attacked when they are treated as a monolith but they somehow have no problems treating other groups as a monolith. So I can't share your sentiment about Latinos aint shyt -- even if I really do understand where it's coming from.

I can't sit here and deny that there is an undercurrent of support among Latinos for a blatantly racist President and his administration. And speaking to Dominicans specifically, we have been among the most ignorant to this. I can't tell you how many Dominican social media accounts on Instagram post Trump or Elon memes...either for outright support, or under these phony jokes (things like AI-generated videos of Trump dancing bachata and whatnot). People try to use these Nazis for the LOLZ. It's pathetic, honestly.

That said, my real life experiences with people of all backgrounds won't let me succumb to the hopelessness and pessimism that exists on the internet.
Misguided as people might think it is.

Look, I’m sure you’re a good person individually. I’m not one to randomly attack any group on here for no reason and I hope you continue posting on here. It’s just annoying when you Latinos kiss white ass and shyt on us black folks, more so specifically black Americans. We’ve been nothing but hospitable to you all and put our necks on the line. We help yall out and yall spit in our faces. Wanna be white so bad and act white. And I’m speaking for your people as a group. Some are cool individually.

Can’t come crying to us now to put the cape on when you guys treated us like shyt for decades.

Just how I and many others feel about you Latinos here. It’s a black and brown coalition but one sided

SO...MUCH....THIS

Its like this...black folks feel betrayed in the midst of giving fair warning to minority counterparts, especially the latino community. Sadly, when that same exact community throw us under the bus (my wife getting shytted on by a migrant head start that ended up having us selling our wedding bands to get a hotel room until the last payday), ride for a racist grifting dictator, and spend the entire time focusing on self hatred and even cannibalizing their own kind (I'm no illegal papi).

Maybe just maybe, we're holding our own nuts respectfully. As a spiritual marsupial that identifies as black first, trust and belief I feel for those that may get caught up in the sweep (the Hispanic lady that treated my family more of a family, than our own family), but the bed was made and yadda :manny:

Yea that's why I'm back here with hat in hand. You guys definitely been calling this for a long time. It's only fitting that the demographic that voted the least with maga are black women, the same demographic that educated me about this country's real history.

You misunderstand me, Ive always known the history. I let the maga shyt pull me towards conservatism for a little while between 2016 to 2017 but that didn't last long BECAUSE of my knowledge of history. Their talking points fell apart really quick once I went back to what I've learned and began reading again. I've never forgotten it breh but I was a new dad in 2016 and propaganda works well on anxious and fearful people.

Yh yh I hear all that but now I see what some people meant when talking about the sheer lack of accountability.

You all were so focused on something I don't know what that you didn't realise you had allies that look like u and are also oppressed like you in other countries that were tryna sound the horn 🔊📢🗣

And we got called tethers and hit with warning points for nonsense

And you wonder why the broiquas is brazen, they see how black people do their own.
Girl. Firstly, most of us ain’t calling folks tethers. That’s some online shyt.

The issue is, a lot of ppl do not want to align with the Black American plight until it is too late. Black Americans know we have others across the globe who look like us who are going through the same thing.

Black folks in the States were advocating and boycotting for our brothers and sisters going through apartheid in South Africa back in the 80s. We know.

The issue is the folks who come here and don’t want to understand the racial dynamics of this place. That’s why you usually see a difference between first and second generation Americans. The kids grow up here and deal with the micro aggressions and racism when they are kids in school and they either attempt to disassociate from Blackness or they get some understanding and learn this system.

We just lost a great Black American— Neely Fuller Jr.
Black Americans have been talking about this shyt forever.

Now, unfortunately some ppl got swept up with Tariq and all that tether shyt. Yes- big issue. But they got swept up because there was push back against the acknowledgment of the Black American ethnicity.

Ultimate point is, ~ 48% of Latinos voted against their own interests and are now crying on tv because the white man who emboldened racists… has proven to hate them too.

Now here we are.

I was just in that environment. I was doing MMA for exercise for a while so I was in the early days of the bro culture. I was listening to Rogan all the time and found his episode with Ben Shapiro and the ones he had with Jordan Peterson interesting. I was big on personal responsibility and I already knew the government was lying to us so it was easy to swallow it up, I just never fully embraced Donald Trump himself because as a new yorker he's always been synonymous with greedy real estate scumbag to me.

My maga days didn't last long and I even ended up making a few enemies out of old friends when I started calling out the racism in a chat we were all in. I ended up leaving the chat and not speaking to some of them again because every fukking day they were posting some propaganda and when it started to get racial I started to say whoa WTF. It became tiring arguing just like it became tiring to argue on here with y'all.

But I was also a new dad and worried a lot about my little girls safety because I kept reading the fear mongering. I was living in a tougher part of the Bronx and shootouts were a regular part of life, so seeing people get let out the next day without bail had me like wtf is up with these Dems.

And the Hillary hate was easy also because I did like Bernie.

Thanks for sharing that. Seems like the last paragraph is the one that really allowed you to become suggestive. Both parties play on emotions, to be fair, but republicans are dirty using fear, hate, and religion with their rhetoric to overtake logic.

My argument about the Dominicans ain't black bullshyt is that to me it isn't always specifically a denial of black ancestry, but a denial of black culture because in DR history didn't play out the same way and all Dominicans subscribe to pretty much the same Dominican culture. We don't have a black Dr culture and a white one, it's all the same. So there are some who take being told that they are black and get confused because they see black as African American culture and we are not African American. It takes a few generations for people to learn who they really need to align with in this country. The new arrivals and their kids are mostly focused on success via money because that's what we want so sitting down reading the writings of Marcus Garvey is extremely low on the list of priorities. Once the 1st fully American educated Dominicans start growing up they all learn the history and drop the anti black shyt, but it requires education that new arrivals just do not have the time for and being honest even if they did have time, not many are spending it learning shyt. Every cousin that I have that is born and raised here that goes to college calls themselves afro Dominican.

Education is key and it takes a while for it to take root sometimes but we coming around.

this is prolific posting breh

you are breakin down some deep psychological baggage here

the indoctrination runs deep in the carib and thank you for sharing

please ignore the hate, hate is ignorance by definition
