Why is Jamaica mentioned outside Carribean food breh? Why are yall considered special?

I swear it's like they're the only island in caribbean :beli:
I get asked if I'm Jamaican all the time :camby:

I get most of this food all the time since I live with my grandma :noah:

I prefer the green plantains. Not fried, but boiled.
When you fry the green ones, that's tostones.

Most people eat the yellow ones that are fried...because they're sweet.
I don't eat them much, because I just am accustomed to having the green ones..and the yellow ones are more expensive in the store.

A while back I remember my mom made oxtail (we call it rabo in spanish).
My brother and I were drinking in the house listening to music. He goes to get another beer and decides to pour one of the beers in the oxtail (it was Yuengling).

Gotta say, that oxtail tasted pretty damn good that day.

Depends on the region and people. Even some Latino countries have plaintains. I have some family from a Carribean island and they only eat fry the sweet (ripe?) plantains.

Keep all that seafood and oxtail soup bullshyt,but i love me some curry,jerk chicken,plantanos and peas and rice with gravy...:ahh:

Dat lil jerk and roti hut around the corner from my house at 2am hit the spot..3 pcs rice and plantain/double for $8 :whew:
