I'm talking about the thread title. It says "Jamaican West Indian food". Why is Jamaican food separate from West Indian It seems like Jamaica is always getting props while other countries are never mentioned. Jamaica is not even a good or willing ambassador for the region (ie. Barbados, Trinidad, Grenada, etc). Jamaica has all kinds of entrenched problems.

In normal parlance Jamaicans are also not West Indians. They're Jamaicans.
